Great video! Do you think SV era etbs have a chance to ever get to $1000+ a box (not counting 151)? On the downside they’re printed so much more nowadays, but on the plus side the PC ones have the PC stamped promo cards. I suppose it depends heavily on which version of etb.
Some of those sun and moon era sets are a steal right now.. some are becoming very tough to find. Ultra Prism for 250$ ish is laughable.. If some of those XY sets have hit 1000$, theres no reason why a set like Ultra Prism can't reach that point in the near future.

VERY long term goal, but I would love to be able to get one of each ETB ever released someday. I would have to figure out how to display all of them tho lol

@@PokeBeardTCG Remember though reprints are totally irrelevant if the demand remains strong, Just as Evolving Skies was reprinted with over 10,000 Moonbreons graded by PSA yet demand keeps it high.
@blake7587 No, I'm saying it was reprinted a lot. That's why it's only $100. Also, print runs do definitely matter. I definitely wouldn't use the most popular set and the most popular card and think everything will be like that. It will go up though

I have a ton of sealed etbs 🙏🏽 I just buy it all because my goal is to have master sets and plenty duplicates w even more sealed product even got into some Disney card collecting

What I would do for a Mint plasma storm etb lol. It would look so nice next to the Shining Legends and hidden fates. Ho-oh, lugia, and the birds all next to each other.
You need to understand how prices work. Don't mislead people without mentioning the fact that a huge reason prices are so high on older stuff, is because it was more novel or they were the first of their time. You will never see any modern stuff reach prices like that, given any amount of years. Sure, it's true to say prices go up but not nearly the same pricing simply due to age. OG stuff is expensive because it's OG. Look at our most expensive modern day card now, moonbreaon. That will peak and comparatively, not that expensive to oldest cards. You will never see it reach 10k. And that's the best example of modern stuff vs several old cards that reach 10k or more.

Or is a $100 box selling for 3k not enough profit for you on a 6 yr old set?? Lol. Also, the most expensive modern card is the latios & latias with team up. It's pretty crazy that a team up box is 3k, but a fossil box is 7k. Yea your right it's not even remotely close lol.

@DarkTruth1 you do know multiple pokemon center etbs are doing super good right? People literally already doubled their money on 151 pc etbs and still climbing. Even the regular etbs are up 25%. Obsidian flames etb has gained more profit than the booster box at its highest. Evolving skies pc etbs are in the mid 200s and climbing. Regular etbs are almost to 150. Even celebrations and crown zenith pc etbs have doubled. Even case prices on a lot of swsh pc etbs are moving. I never once say in this video that these boxes will be worth as much as the vintage. So kick rocks, you clearly don't know what you're talking about. I don't have time to sit and argue.

Thank you! They reprinted them towards the end of Sword and shield. So that's why they're so cheap. They will go up in value but very slowly.

$100 for an S&M ETB with big hits like rainbow Charizard is an incredible deal.

So trainer boxs is its own sub category. I was in to collecting them when I first started collecting sealed. Ive got from brakethough up.
