Yeah I am glad I kept it.. I almost sold it (i never sell anything) because Tonka is a tough note for me... but alas with what the new ones are going for I am glad to have it 🍻

Songe is incredible! I get huge stinky oud but the sharp spices balance it out great. want.
I get more leather from Songe ... but it is a very good perfume & I am blessed to have it in the arsenol 😊

Roja dove Diaghilev is my favorite Chypre of all time and coincidentally my favorite fragrance of all time.
It is very hard for me to disagree with that... i almost bought a backup bottle the other day because i love Diaghilev so much... hard to make a better Chypre fragrance than that isnt it 😃 The only other chypre that when i wear it I get just as much enjoyment out of it as i do Diaghilev would be Chypre Palatin from MDCI. Completely different type of chypre & as far the better fragrance i think its Diaghilev...but my goodness i love wearing Chypre Palatin 😊
@@RamseytheRam the Chypre genre is my favorite and both Chypre palatine and Diaghilev are both in my top 3 Chypre fragrances of all time as well as Mitsouko edt. Mitsouko edt is a summer gem for me as I find that the peach and floral notes come alive in high heat.

I agree with l'homme ideal extreme. I chose that to be the only one in my collection. Most prefer the EDP. To me, the extreme has more heliotrope in it, which gives more of that plum note. I also get a good dose of rose in it (nice rose) which brings everything together nicely. The tobacco note is brilliant as well, not an overdose of the harsh tobacco synthetics (unlike the Tom Fords).
I need to get a bottle of Derby. I have a bottle of Bel Ami though if not!
Derby and bel ami are two of my favorites of all time.. i think i enjoy wearing bel ami a little more... but we are really splitting hairs here... its like picking michael jordan or Larry Byrd 🤣🤣
Thanks Ramsey! Agreed, Guerlain does vanilla exquisitely. I was able to obtain a couple of the Shalimar Vanilla Planifolia bottles recently. The vanilla is done wonderfully.

@@RamseytheRam Hmmm. yes I go through that same thought process. How many Shalimars should I have, etc? If you are a fan of elegant vanilla, I think it is worth doing. Happy to send you a sample if you like, just let me know and will do. Their Spirituese Double Vanille is excellent as well.
I should also note the Planifolia is a tad sweet so you'll want to take that into consideration. I do think it is well balanced though.

You were right about Vanisia. The quality of ingredients are off the charts. Smells like there’s actual Mysore in there.
Its fantastic... i am calling it the find 2021 for me... i got it about 4 or 5 months ago... its the reason i didnt buy a 200ml backup of Le Lion 😃 so glad you feel the same way... i got Duck to buy it as well so its gonna get more love in the community and it is well deserving .. one of the best creeds 🦆
Regarding parfum de toilette, I own a 1983 bottle of Jicky PdT and it’s very different than the EdP, much bolder tons of patchouli

Getting an idea of your 'arsenal' now. That's some Guerlain collection. I've always been a fan, wore Vetiver, HR, and Derby in the 80's, loved them. Heritage a later discovery, have the same black rimmed Lidge bottle it's just so right. Samsara was a buy for a GF when it came out, unmistakable scent and potent.
These vids are great, can only guess how great a review will be, you already impart the details I look out for.
What's next to blow us away with your collection?

I have a lot of testers too for the same reason, HOWEVER the ones that came without boxes are a pain to transport so that’s a minus
Yes I know exactly what you mean... if they dont have a cap I usually dont take the bottle with me... unless it has a built in sprayer like my Samsara bottle 🙃

I think the Roja Danger Parfum Cologne is better and more wearable than the Parfum version.

I have compared them both and I very much prefer the parfum but i think as far as wearability for most people you are right ... but i now just wear what i want and everyone else will just have to live with it lol... but this hobby is very much like picking a favorite color... to each their own. The only one of the parfum colognes i tried that I like enough to get a full bottle is the Creation E or Enigma pour home depending on where you live in the world due to copyright issues. I have a 10ml decant of creation E parfum cologne & I think they nailed that one. But i just bought a full 50ml of the parfum that should be arriving next week so i am probably out on buying any of the parums cologne full bottles TBH... thanks for commenting & merry xmas 🎅

@@JONATHAN-db2ry actually you might be surprised.. i only have 4 or 5 full bottles... most of my Rojas are discovery atomizers as he is just so prohibatively expensive... insane pricing model really but people love veblen goods 😄

I dont own the EDT but i have smelled it and i prefer the EDP (which used to be the eau extreme) ... i think the EDT is more versatile but as a personal preference i like the heavier EDP for this type of scent... and dont make the same mistake I did and pay crazy money for the vintage formula... the modern EDP in the current standard bottle is equally nice and cheap too... cheers 🍻

@@RamseytheRam don't i know it :)) Mahora is strange. Just worn it first time in the cold (i usually wear it in the summer) and it reminds me of a more wearable Secretions Magnifiques, with that juxtaposition of tropical indolic elements and minty woods. Beautiful though
@@MemoryFlo mahora and secretions magnifique in the same sentence just dont sound like they belong together lol 🤣 crazy stuff.. i have had perfumes do that in different weather.. right when you think you have the perfume all figured out you wear it in a different season and its a totally different fragrance 🤯

@@profmelvin it is a holy grail fragrance... any iteration even wassers reform is very good. I read somewhere that he really amped the carnation up to try and capture that leather & moss feel of the vintage because some of the materials needed to make Derby have been banned so he had to get creative....
But any version you can find just get the best deal you can...however if you can find the vintage either the bottle that i have or the eagle bottle they are just 🤯
