Custom moment hinges are simpler than custom shear hinges. This video shows how to obtain moment-curvature curve. You can use it to create a custom moment hinge. I had a question, how does sap2000 calculate axial force for column's moment-rotation curve.
when we assign auto hinge to a column, automatically it takes two axial forces. how is that calculated? thanks in advance
SAP2000 calculation is rather simple and in many cases code based. You should refer to SAP Reference Manual for formulation details.
I have a question Sir, why in this video you did not define the length of the beam subjected to shear?
When performing a sectional analysis, you only need the cross section details. Beam length should not be needed. Sectional analysis is done at a section only. I hope this helps.
can we put the effective stiffness values to get crakced section's moment curvature response?
Thank you for your interest. Effective stiffness is just a rough estimation, and will not be as accurate (or accurate at all) as the nonlinear analysis discussed in this video.
How can I get the shear strain curve from other programs not only from response 2000? Actually, I have Xtract software but it cannot define the shear loading. Thank you sir.
Not many programs have shear-modeling capabilities. You need to check to ensure the program has such a capability. Response-2000 is a free software and you can use it if you wish www.ecf.utoronto.ca/~bentz/r2k.htm

I had a question. How does SAP2000 Nonlinear Column P-M2-M3 Modeling using Custom Hinges.
You can use an approach similar to the one shown in the video. You should be careful when calculating biaxial moment interaction. You will need a nonlinear analysis software that is capable of considering bi-axial effets.
where you get the latest version of response-2000. There is a old version 1.0.5 in official link.
