A solution of a peptide of unknown sequence was divided into two samples. One sample was treated with trypsin, and the other was treated with chymotrypsin. The smaller peptides obtained by the treatment of these two enzymes had the following sequences: (15 points) Trypsin: LSYAIR and DGMFVK Chymotrypsin: VKLSY, AIR and DGMF Deduce the sequence of the original peptides and explain how you arrived at your deduction. I NEED HELP WITH THIS
Its DGMFVKLSYAIR - you see in both the cases, V-K i.e valine and lysine can be seen overlapping - if you get where then it would be quite easy to arrange.
I just wander here from Tiktok, those people's using peptide sequence to made a model out of their loved one's name. I'm wondering, and am willing to learn this, that's why I'm here
What an incredible and succinct explanation of a difficult topic.
If you are given just the peptide fragments how do you know which reagents was used to cleave the peptide?
Your videos are so helpful! Thank you!

Thank you sir for your clear explanation
Excellent videos!!! Well Done!!!
Are there any softwares to make this step simpler in practice if the protein has a large number of amino acids??
very nice example! thank you!
Thanks Sir. It's really awesome
Straight to the point
your notes are not clearly shown and yet i needed them
Awesome😁nice exapaination😊ty

Could you please discuss sequencing of polypeptides transferred onto PVC membranes? Thanks.
If trypsin cleaves at carboxyl end then how is the first sequence Gly-Trp-Arg? Wouldn't it just be Trp-Arg?
Sir,
Does chymotrypsin cleave serine at the carboxyl end?

Check for overlapping regions among the fragments. The sequence will be DGMFVKLSYAIR.

you are the best
Hi guys
I have doubt that how to locating disulphide bonds after trypsin treated. How could i find it out.
thank you so much !!!!!!

I cant concentrate, you move too much sir.
Anyways, thank you. Still
