The wrapping on the exhaust serve 2 purpose. A heat shield to a certain extent, (Usually applicable to bigger bikes ) And for exhaust thermal expansion retentions. (A again for bigger bikes.) Hot gas heated up expands. So using the wrap. It will retain the heat. And assist in expansion and exhaust exit.
To go faster, best is to change the tyres to a smaller or stock version. The engine is quite capable actually but as the owner mentioned, retro bikes are for those slow feel good ride lah. Not much for instant pick-up or top speed. Kawasaki engines are quite reliable doesn't matter how hard you push it.
@@poon5544 But he changed CDI and to SP carb. Even with those fat tyres, with the right tuning the bike is not slow, my friend has a w175 and is using the same fat tyres but his bike is actually fast. Owner just need to retune his carb properly I feel

@@flfreaks3745 don’t wish to put out the details here. And they’re not the only custom shop in Singapore. There’s better ones out there, so much better. They got no upper hand. The only people who go there are new riders who have no knowledge of custom bikes.

It's not that slow actually. Top speed about 120km/h. For a 2B bike it's not bad. Maybe it's been modified till it's speed is affected.
