Something that'll help you out, if you edit `/etc/pacman.conf` you can change how many downloads it does at a time (#ParallelDownloads = 5). Once you un-comment the line and change it to something like 10, it'll really speed up your install time.

The virtualisation of Linux is not good I’ve used it personally and it’s soo buggy and is missing features compared to the windows virtualisation features and applications which are stable since most devs work for windows sadly. That’s why I dual boot so that I’m not limited to the downsides of each operating system.
