I love this podcast, and I love the community around it. But most of all, I appreciate Mr. Brian Bates partaking in the silly nickname gag like a team player. Cheers guys!
Do you guys always mean to drop a new episode during the witching hours middle of the night? Because getting a notification for an 'Aliens" episode at 3am as I sat in bed not being able to sleep is the most on-brand thing this podcast has done. Can always count on you guys to make a dull day better. Hope you guys stay warm as most of us are trying to be in the south right now.
Finally watching an episode with my wife and she says, “I didn’t know his name was Nate Bargatze. I thought it was, ‘Neighbor Gatze” when I asked her why in the world she thought it was Neighbor, she said, I don’t know, just thought it was something weird you watched.” Anyways, just thought you would like to know your name is still getting butchered out here in Houston. Thanks for the humor guys, especially you, ole Barnacles.
Literally spewed water right in the face of my teenage son causing him to exclaim, “We’re in a pandemic! You can’t just spit water in someone’s face!” when Nate said, “If someone like me shows up...I’m a hard soap guy.” And Aaron replies, “Shows up where?” I LOST IT! All I picture is Nate walking into the Vandy locker room, day one of his dream job, and saying, “Alright folks, first things first, I’m a hard soap guy.” 🤣💀🤣💀🤣💀
Hello folks! Just want to jump in on the Stonehenge thing. You can get pretty close to the stones. You can't touch them but there's a circular walkway to take you around it. You're really only a hop, step and a jump away from them. I even think Pagans are allowed to use the stones for certain ceremonies. I'm listening in England where we can't hang out with friends. We're in our third lockdown and we can only meet one person outdoors. Outdoors. In England. Famously sunny and warm England. :) Listening to your podcast feels like a regular, pre-COVID hang out. And I can sit indoors in the warm! It's exactly what we need. Nate, Aaron and Bestbuy, keep doing what you're doing. - Neil
Still playing catch up to all the old episodes. This is absolutely one of my Favorites! Nate was ON POINT with his continuous impromptu bits!😂 Aaron was thoroughly entertained while Beignet looked like he was always trying to think of what to say next.
Nate realizing that Napoleon had a last name and that Bonaparte was it. I’m laughing so hard I can’t stop crying. And it’s less than one minute into the show. Oh my gosh
When i moved to Tennessee from California, a lot of people asked about the southern accents. I never could find a way to explain some of them, until i saw a TH-cam subtitle of Nate saying his name and it was perfect. Your are now Neighbor Gutsy!
Thanks to Aaron I got a little inspiration, and after 4 years of procrastination I finally cancelled my Planet Fitness membership! I did it like a gentleman and sent them a handwritten letter
Erin “I don’t even know what you call them” The script keeper “Brothers” Blistering Barnacle “I thought you were smart, Erin?” That exchange between the three of you sums up the beauty of this podcast. Nate then suggesting Quin instead of twin so quickly after..absolute genius. His brain my work considerably quicker then his mouth but when the mouth catches up it’s usually comedy gold. Then to read out negative, as well as positive comments and not only take them on the chin but discuss them and laugh along with the “critic” shows how down to earth the three of you are. Fantastic chemistry between the three of you and the result is this brilliant podcast. Keep up the excellent content. Manj, from London, England
I am a history teacher at a private High School. Every time I hear Nate, Aaron, and Boo-Boo talk about historical events, I think about my students. Rarely are the hosts accurate and sometimes they are even confident in their ignorance. A lot like my high schoolers before their tests. You prove that you can be successful without knowing history. Love the podcast folks!
The other benefit to those umbrellas is that when they close, all the water stays on the inside of them. So when you're getting back in your car and close your umbrella, you don't get soaked from the umbrella...
When Aaron laughs really hard, he always pushes himself away from the table and mic. Almost like he's afraid his laugh might harm someone. Always makes me smile!
I studied music (jazz trombone) at Juilliard for six years (class of 2018 & 2020). Just had to say that Aaron was correct about the organ being a different instrument. My roommate on campus was an organ major. While it’s true that there are some pianists who can double on organ, organ is its own beast for sure. My roommate and I would talk about how organ and piano require their own focused study if they are to be played well. You can’t play a piano like an organ and an organ like a piano. I’ve said organ 7 times in this comment...8...Love the podcast, can’t wait for the special in March!
I have been listening to this podcast from episode 1, and this was one of my personal favorites. I laughed really hard the whole time! Thanks for the great humor in the middle of a long week!
Tried listening to this episode at the gym this morning and a giant dude on the bench press in front of me saw me looking in his general direction during the part about the Guttensohn quintuplets right as Aaron said “I don’t know what you call them” and Nate said “brothers”. Well I let out a pretty big chuckle and the next thing I noticed was the giant dude slamming about a million pounds on the bar, as if I had just belittled the amount of weight he was lifting. Anyways I have to find a new gym now. Thanks a lot, guys.
I think the biggest thing I took from this episode is that Aaron drives a mini van. Which, for whatever reason, makes sense to me. Also, Barbiturate seems to have grown more intelligent ever since the laptop was pulled from him.
Saw your special on Netflix a while ago and was bummed it was the only thing you had out at the time. So glad I came across your podcast man! Your dry sense of humor is just as funny off stage as it is in the podcast. Thanks for all the laughs Nate!
Balki Bartokomous is definitely the guy that puts together all the game film for the Titans. He's not the guy who watches it and breaks it down. But he's definitely the guy who puts it together for the one who do. Love the podcast!
Great as always, guys! It's so fun seeing you have such a great time talking about such random topics. And the way you really get each other going is so entertaining. Keep it up!
A. I just discovered Nate and his comedy last week during a long, long trip down the TH-cam wormhole. B. My friends, who I've recommended Nate to via sending numerous clips, are concerned that perhaps a restraining order is necessary due to the volume of said clips and links sent in such a short amount of time C. Finding the podcast and sending out links has pushed a couple to organise an intervention. They don't know that I know E. In 79 hours you've jumped up to number eight on my all-time favorite comedians list 9. Martin, Steve. 8. Bargotze, N. 7. Hedberg, M. 6. Rock, C. 5. Murphy, E (82-88) 4. Regan, B. 3. Rickles, D. 2. Wright, S. 1. Chappelle, D. H. Can I be a guest host? You won't be sorry J. I'm at your front door
You guys should do a whole episode of just comments. Some of my favorite bits come from you just riffing on different comments! Keep up the great work. Love the podcast! It makes me laugh more than a cowboy at a Backstreet Boy Bates show!
Been listening since day 1 and I’m finally realizing cowboy bates gets his own thrills from giving Nate comments with words he will butcher, enjoying the show guys keep it up!
I never listen to podcasts but this may have changed my mind. Super funny and aliens are always an interesting topic. Blend that with humor and what a great show!
Never would have thought at the beginning of this I would laugh so hard at the words TRIANGLE and BROTHERS 😂 love when Aaron laughs so hard he has to cover the mic. Also... What happened to the Busch Lite jacket? Kansas City wants to know!
Bears Beets Battlestar galactica ....brothers...? Thank you the beautiful saga of “My alien baby has more than just his head in the clouds” I didn’t know Nate and Aaron were so passionate about interpretive dance. Bumblebeetuna looked worried (even more than usual) that he wouldn’t be able to pull you guys back to reality. You guys are the absolute BEST! Thank you for the clean comedy and much needed distraction from the craziness of the world. God bless you all!
I can't believe Aaron and Brian missed the chance to see if Nate knew any other famous Napoleon's... figured someone was going to bring up Dynamite at some point. Love the show guys!
Nate's tombstone will be the world's smallest tombstone, actually microscopic saying: (thats a colon Nate, take a small breath and then continue to read) "I get nervous, I don't trust stuff. Who's your source?" with a picture of Big Foot and Nate doing improv in front of Stone Hinge.
What's up Nate, Aaron and Bounce House? Love you guys and literally laugh out loud often throughout your 'show' You always deliver the hard hitting facts and I especially appreciate the clean humor. Wondering what your thoughts are on Hopkinsville's Edgar Cayce's prophecies and his prediction of the polar shift that we're experiencing today?? Stay safe, stay fun and stay funny :)
Weber quotes Aristotle, Bon Apetite Bonaparte immediately kind of sighs and says "Oh boy.." as in "here we go..." - It was, the start of a hilarious riff. Good stuff. Guys. Bye Folks?
Barnacle trying to seriously read a story while Nate and Aaron figure out their own sign language to go along with their made up story is A+ comedy. Keep up the good work.
I was driving my family back to Michigan from a Florida vacation and drove through Nashville Monday night. My first thought was y'all have zero clue how to do snow removal from your highways, furthermore how to drive in it. Immediately after venting about drivers I thought of the implications on the podcast and was so happy Aaron and Ballyhoo had the wherewithal to record an episode "just in case".
As a Wisconsinnite where Rollout the Barrel is played at every Packers, Brewers, and Bucks game, I was screaming along side Bejeweled that the song Aaron played was not rollout the barrel.
hey nate, aaron and brittle thanks again for laughs, guys. Here are a few ideas for future episodes.... Biggest fears, theme parks(when is the thrill too much), fast food (nate might have a lot to say) and another state like Arizona 😉
Hey Nate, Weber like the grill and baboon, I love, the podcast, and always listen while in online class. Today, I was distracted, laughing along with the podcast, when my professor asked me a question. I didn’t hear him until a few minutes later when he asked “where have I been”...Without thinking answered “I was talking to professor Bargatze” when my professor asked about who professor Bargatze was I quickly replied “oh he’s just an adjunct professor” no one understood but it made me laugh. At one point, Nate said, “I’m surprised Trump hasn’t blurted anything out about aliens”. I wish that didn’t get glossed over because it seemed we missed the development of a really fun and silly idea, but moments like “shower convention”, “Ted Lasso”, “brothers”, and “triangle” more than made up for it. Thanks for making Wednesday mornings a little more playful. You guys really are the best.
I love this podcast, and I love the community around it. But most of all, I appreciate Mr. Brian Bates partaking in the silly nickname gag like a team player. Cheers guys!
@Nadav Guy Rude.
Here here! You’re so right
I never thought I would ever laugh at the question, "A Triangle?".
Hardest I’ve laughed in a while.
1:39:02
@@andrewjoyce2058 thanks for the 🔗
Damn you for spoiling the joke
Best laugh moments:
Brothers - 23:27
Ted Lasso - 31:21
Show up where? - 39:14
A triangle - 1:39:02
Many more but just my favorites
I liked the Dead Mouse/Mau5 conversation as well. Around 12:30.
The best moment of this entire podcast
“A triangle?”
Aaron: What do you call them?
Nate: Brothers
Me: 😂 😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Right? Dude, I was SCREAMING laughing when that happened.
Nate literally read the copy... "choose suggested talking points about mental health...." he is the Ron Burgandy of Podcasts!
Came here looking for this comment. That was absolutely incredible.
Oh god I was cracking up because he never even noticed. Didn’t wanna run just one more take buddy?
He's so awkward 🤣
What time was this?
End of quote, repeat the line

Its awesome to see Mr. Brian evolve as a personality coming back to previous episodes

One of your best guys❤ Need to rerun it for your new fans. Nate's comedic off the cuff brilliance. Yes.
Can we please get a part 2? This was waaayyy too short
agreed
Listening to these people talk about science right now is going to make me flip this table.

Same thing here. Couldn't really leave the house before, but really can't now
Erin “I don’t even know what you call them”

Omg that part on the brazilian guy’s abduction story is so good it’s so much better than most comedy specials out there. This podcast rules!
" A Triangle " I almost fell out of my chair. I knew this was the episode to start with. Great Show...I subbed .
We need “My baby momma’s an alien” merch
That was the best bit on this whole podcast maybe ever
"My baby mama is an alien" I completely lost it when that was said. 👽 🤣

I’m obsessed with this podcast, everyone is so funny! Do an episode on world records!
Guys, the podcast has me trying to hid my chuckles and tears at work. Everyone thinks I’m a psycho laughing to myself at my desk. Thank you
The other benefit to those umbrellas is that when they close, all the water stays on the inside of them. So when you're getting back in your car and close your umbrella, you don't get soaked from the umbrella...

Love that Nate went on a tangent about how he wants only verified and unbiased information...on an episode about UFOs!!
The only person qualified to interview aliens is an adjunct professor.
A good episode idea would be for World Records.
I have been listening to this podcast from episode 1, and this was one of my personal favorites. I laughed really hard the whole time! Thanks for the great humor in the middle of a long week!

Aaron sees world changing/groundbreaking technology of the first touchscreen smartphone:
*Gasp!
Nate sees an umbrella that opens the wrong way:
*Gasp!
I gotta say good job Nate for pointing out that something everyone finds so majestic is essentially a triangle in the desert.
Great as always, guys! It's so fun seeing you have such a great time talking about such random topics. And the way you really get each other going is so entertaining. Keep it up!

You guys are great!
funhaus made me laugh so hard that i woke up the baby and the cat. thank you guys! I genuinely needed this podcast.
Nate is on fire today!
Nate should start airing his golf podcast during Aaronland, during Nateland
I never listen to podcasts but this may have changed my mind. Super funny and aliens are always an interesting topic. Blend that with humor and what a great show!
Please have Ted Lasso on the program! (Aristotle also if you're able to)

I lost it when Nate started clapping 😂
Also when he imitates the monkey having a conversation with nonexistent people.

Love the fit in the intro! Longtime Vandy fan also.

Nate wasn't wrong about how easy it was to build triangles. We made one of those in Vegas.
I fell off the nateland podcast a few months ago, but then I see “aliens” and I am back! Plus y’all read my comment! Cheers from Chattanooga.

Loving the "Nate can't read" bit. Always makes me laugh when Barkbox corrects him.
Come for the laughs. Stay for the Seinfeld references. I was yelling "Next Stop, Pottersville" at my phone. Love you guys.
