The front of the two Audi LMP1 cars have different aero kits. The Le Mans spec Audi is more designed to receive speed down long straights while the Fuji version is built to receive speed through corners.
The Vintage LM track is really something else in VR. As far as the cars go i do enjoy their selection but they really should have taken the opportunity to introduce some new manufacturers. The Ferraris and Porsche’s should have been in their respective DLCs. I would have liked to see a Lancia Gr.5 and Gr. C car. As well as the Peugeot 905 and maybe the 787B. Maybe a Toyota Gr.C car.
Question... can you pick and choose what cars you want for every grid spot or is it pre generated by the computer. I think it would be really nice to fill your own grid with LM cars and GT cars... all different.
I love the 959 S and even called it my favorite road-car in pCars 2. Like the 961 it has AWD and you can manipulate the understeer-/oversteer behavior best in the differential-settings apart from the brake-bias. Lower tension (higher degrees with the plates) means more oversteer vice versa and coast is for off-throttle, power for on-throttle behavior. So if the car understeers on the exit, you should lower the tension of the power-diff and if it get's unstable while braking you can stiffen the coast-diff, what i did with the 959 S. PS: Just tested the 961 on the Nordschleife and just love it. Load the loose setup, turn down brake-balance to maybe 54, increase coast-diff (less tension) and drift! AWD needs a bit different technique and more like Rally. Turn the car early with the brake and let the AWD pull you out to the exit ideally as soon as you get of the (trail-)brake.
The 961s understeer probably comes from it being AWD, these cars tend not to want to turn in. So that is a problem with the concept, but you can surely fix a bit of it with a proper setup. The problem with the 961 is that you tend to just go too fast when turning in, same with the IMSA Audi, you tend to be faster than you think. The 961 also "suffers" from the same problem as all 911s, the rear engine placement. To get the front tyre to turn in, you need weight transfer on them to produce the right amount of grip, and that is very tricky in fast corners. I think some of the cars' sounds need to be fixed, and I also think the KERS on the new LeMans cars needs to be automatic, as it is IRL, with an option for manual override. Other than that I am happy with the DLC...
RickyBrosh Racing as a massive rotary fan, I just can’t understand why project cars 2 wouldn’t have such an amazing piece of machinery like the four rotor
Something Skrrtt skrrttt So awesome in that it was one of the slowest cars in its grid? (It won Le Mans, its *only* win, because the leading Mercedes - which was very far ahead - broke down.) Also, it would be very uncompetitive against the 1989-era Group C cars in Project Cars 2. The 787b wasn't banned specifically - ALL Group C cars from its era effectively were. Group C, at the time, was a fuel allotment formula until the FIA changed it because it was becoming more popular than F1. Not liking that, the FIA mandated specific types of engines in Group C, and many manufacturers and teams began leaving because it became very expensive. On top of that, Japan was also going through a recession at the time which is why the Japanese teams also began leaving IMSA's GTP series (basically the IMSA version of Group C) at the same time. However, I'll admit that the 787b sounds amazing.
About the 961. The car is in fact an AWD race car. It had very little succes and was binned after only 3 races i think because it was too heavy and understeery ... they just didn't get the AWD to work in a race car. So i think if it's horrid to drive in project cars 2 that might be quite realistic :D
I understand why the 924 for is there. It makes sense because there is only one car that is in its class currently in Project Cars 2. The 961 doesn't fit in though. Personally I would ave preferred the 905C because of the F1 V10.
They need to fix the lobby browser and lobby creation settings. It literally takes me up to an hour to get into a race online. It's so sad, because otherwise the game is pretty good.
the 2 variants of the audi are quite unnecessary from what ive seen. you cant apply high wing angles on the lm variant, like 0-5 or something, and you cant add low wing to the fuji car, its stuck at like 5-10 iirc. itd be better to give us the entire setup option in the fuji car. that being said, give the fuji car a go, its more stable and more fun with the higher wing. also aor season 4 endurance is likely to run these dlc cars as an lmp1 class which im looking forward to
Ill give it a go no doubt, didnt even open the setup page for any of these cars. The endurance league is something im looking forward to question is if i have time to do both GT3 and Endurance
Yeah you just need to learn how to tweak the dampening and the roll bars in order to get rid of understeer the developers don't put a lot of time into setup
Having driven it last night on-line, most drivers can't get round it without crashing. I agree once you've learned it, it isn't a difficult track, but if you have to drive it for 24 hours with slow GT cars , night and rain it is challenging enough.
you have to realize that the vintage cars are rather soft so the track might look smooth. But when you try some more modern car like 962 or C9 you'll see how bumpy it actually is ;-)
Exactly. Unlike in Gran Turismo (up to 5), where the classic version was actually the same track layout without the chicanes, this really is the vintage track. If you changed it it wouldn't be Le Mans anymore.
@@RickyBroshRacing how bout that actually add the Cars the community want.... They should host a straw pole for the community to vote on for the next track/car....i want Melbourne as the track and the viper.... I'm tired of every bloody game just putting Bathurst in

Oh cool thanks
Low downforce and high downforce

The peugeot would have been absolutely awesome, so would the 787B
I just got the game like 5 months back. Got Xbox live 2 weeks ago. Thinking about buying this dlc
I wish they didn't reuse sound from other cars. The 919 doesn't sound accurate.
It´s a good time for sim racing fans.
It really is

Sounds good highly doubt ill spend any time with a setup for these cars though, happy to hear you like it. Its a awesome looking car

No Mazda 787B :(:(:( ima cry in corner, don’t mind me
That thing is awesome

The 787B is not a very good car
alex21212121 yeah your right.. ITS AN AWESOME CAR, why else would they ban the screaming monster

haha did not know that! Well then PC2 nailed it lol
Then why was it in the Spirit of LeMans pack? 🤔
it looks nice? :D

A really nice DLC pack, a lot of old and awesome cars! :D
Yeah it is, awesome stuff
Really great review about this dlc.
Thanks :) Loving it so far
The dirt bunkers on the corners of Vintage Le Mans are kinda weird. U can roll ur tires into them & shoot outa the corners like in motocross. LOL
haha yeah ive noticed lol

Yeah i know tried a couple of days ago and just gave up
The Fuji R18 is included sort of as a tribute because its the setup it raced in its final race.
Oh did not know that, cool! Thanks
Ricky you can get rid of a bit of understeer by adjusting the diff

How does this pack influence the career path to LMP? Are there more events?
The best dlc of this game. I got all this dlc but this is the dlc I played a lot.
Dimitris Χ. Agree, same here
3.24 it’s called the Fuji 2016
Oh yeah, thanks
Yeah you just need to learn how to tweak the dampening and the roll bars in order to get rid of understeer the developers don't put a lot of time into setup
This dlc was dope. Which car do you think was quicker? The Porsche felt better, but I think the Audi (Fuji) felt quicker on conventional circuits
Yeah it is! Good question, i have no idea. Loved driving them both, need to try the Fuji version
So far the laps and cars I drove out of this dlc are really fun! I am limited at the moment until I get my wheel set up
T-gt wheel
Yes all the reviews I seen were good
Should be a great wheel, base is probably almost the same as mine.
I'm ready to set it up
Thankfully my job helps my bad habits lol. Yes I aim to drive clean
What are the music tracks used?
Numbus (search on youtube) and dont remember the other one, sorry
Try an lmp1 around the classic lemans 😂😂
Would almost be slower than the Ferrari 512M
nice review thoug in my opinion the vintage le mans is a little bit easy, i was hoping for a harder track
Yeah alot of straights, could probably have been bumpier aswell

I'm still waiting for a dodge viper
Now that would be awesome!
