That is what you call Bullet Proof! Well done guys! You are well prepared. That has to feel really good knowing that your family is going to be ok. You two are very motivated and hard workers.
I was so glad to see that they put it away from the building. Those things if they develop a leak & it explodes, they can level city blocks. So you don't want it super close to an ignition source, and, preferably, you want it downhill so that if it does develop a leak the heavier-than-air propane flows away from your building, not towards it, so I was surprised that they didn't move it down further.

Great video! I grew up with a large propane tank with legs like that and ours sunk in the ground on one corner. We ended up putting one foot square stones under all four corners to spread out the load. Solve the issue for 30+ years. As far as the welding, the tearing is coming from the back side, so the only way to fix it is weld a plate on the back side.
That propane tank must cost a fortune to fill . Build a small fence around it and you will never know it’s there . Great job Josh !! Keep up the Awsome work you guys are doing .

We painted our propane tank a dark charcoal gray. It just seems to blend in with the landscape now. That bright white is kind of a eyesore, I agree. You all are doing great. You have accomplished so much. Fun to watch.
What rod are you using? sounds like a 6011 or 6010, if so it is a fairly brittle weld, try some 7018 if you can run it on your machine, it is a much better rod for this application.
Teach the kids how to make rolling dives - a few hundred times so their muscle memory kicks in. I mountain-bike at age-60 because I learned to roll in Judo classes as a kid. When I fall off a mountain bike, I roll out while making adjustments to avoid rocks on the way down. I can usually just roll easily to my feet again without a scratch. Always fall like a banana, tuck and roll out of a dive. :)
I'm 70. I did a flip on my knee scooter. I was able to roll out too. I ended up in my butt. ( Very grateful for my martial arts classes ) When all were assured that I was fine I got a standing ovation. Ok, four people and no were to sit. I call such thing a win!
I took Judo classes 60 years ago when I was 14. I was the smallest in an adult class and everyone loved throwing me around. Since then.... I have been hit by a car on my bike, tripped and fallen countless times and thanks to Judo I roll and get right back up....
Never ceases to amaze me with all your talents!!! Talents you never knew you had, but you sure are willing to learn and come out with an amazing finale!! Always looking forward to seeing you both, the children and all the loved animals too... =8^)

I used a salvage 1000 gallon LP tank to build a roller for the runway at the airport community I built in Texas - towed it behind a Farmall 560 tractor. We had a lot of limestone rocks - it was almost funny to hear the rocks plink as they crushed. It did a good job rolling - filling it with water gave it just enough weight to compact the ground, but not enough so that the grass wouldn't grow. That 13' knuckle to knuckle made it a bit hard to turn though. I was almost surprised Josh didn't use strut to mount the black pipe. Those standoffs look better. I think that 1000 gallon will last a LONG time - several years. That can be good - choose a good dry time to refill it.

Hahah in our shop we would call that polishing a turd!!!
When I started welding that was very true . grinding and paint covers a lot of mistakes .
The question then becomes. Are u a welder or grinder? lol
Hi Josh...when you are arc welding in the vertical position. It's better to weld upwards into clean metal....cleaner weld ..stronger weld👍👍🇮🇪😎
@@c44mt or worse
Family, relationship, and life goals! I love you guys! Keep going! You are amazing!!!!
Suggest putting sone concrete pads under the metal feet on that big tank. Surprised they set it right on the dirt.
I was thinking the same but on a quick shot from a distance in the video it looks as if they did put pads under each foot
You got this folks AAA+++ so awesome
An outlet for a grill would be a nice addition for the tank ;) Endless barbeque parties...
Sweet getting that tank in............life changing........
Inspections can be stressful. Happy to see you passed with flying colors.
You ruined it. Now I know what happened. I should never read comments before watching the video lol.
We painted our propane tank a dark charcoal gray. It just seems to blend in with the landscape now. That bright white is kind of a eyesore, I agree. You all are doing great. You have accomplished so much. Fun to watch.
Happy Sunday mornin from Texas yall.
Happy Sunday morning from Seattle 💖
JOIE AU PRINTEMPS EQUINOXE POUR TOUTE LA TERRE DE MONTRÉAL AUSSI
You guys are the real deal, thanks for sharing!!
What rod are you using? sounds like a 6011 or 6010, if so it is a fairly brittle weld, try some 7018 if you can run it on your machine, it is a much better rod for this application.
I agree, I think it was 6013 rod ? Check it at 3:52 ?
Been following a long time you built it and it's right.... You guys did a great job + off grid ... That's the life . have a great week
Judo is severely important for all “risky” sports imho - that rolling saved me god knows how many times from a world of hurt...
I took Judo classes 60 years ago when I was 14. I was the smallest in an adult class and everyone loved throwing me around. Since then.... I have been hit by a car on my bike, tripped and fallen countless times and thanks to Judo I roll and get right back up....
Sweet back up for your back up can't beat that you all are awesome👍👍
Inspector Chuck is loved by All. ☺ Awesome video
You are wonderful together. A sweet happy family. Good loves from FRANCE.
Never ceases to amaze me with all your talents!!! Talents you never knew you had, but you sure are willing to learn and come out with an amazing finale!! Always looking forward to seeing you both, the children and all the loved animals too... =8^)
Love you guys, your both so one with each other. You have a lovely family, stay safe all of you. X
It wouldn't be Sunday if WWOG didn't post. Josh you are an electrician, but you do better than you know at many things. You inspire us DIYers to at least try something out of our comfort zone. Erin is right you are better than you know. Take care of your inspector greeter, he is precious.
Amen to all of that.
Im a new member of your page and i must say that your both inspiring and we need more human beings like you on this planet. Your love for one another and family is beautiful to behold. Josh the Awesome One. I love watching you guys. Best TH-camrs ever 👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
My electricians teacher always said "You can teach an electrician to do anything, but almost no one to be an electrician."Guess he was true.
❤
Kudo's to both of you for really doing things right. I just love watching you both. So fun to watch both of your channels.
I appreciate Josh is the “King Of Channel Locks” but I suggest he uses pipe wrenches are they are designed to installing gas line pipe.
Well I'll say it - NONE of us watching were worried about this inspection !! Great job and now what's next ? Going to finish the foundation facing, decking, stairs or the back half of the house ?? Basement, garage and second floor bed rooms ! Love watching you 2 and the kids and of course the fur babies. Stay safe and healthy. God bless
I see arts and crafts on the tanks future for a home school project.
