  • In the Book of Isaiah we encounter surprising metaphors for the Lord, such as Divine Warrior and even Lover, vividly describing the various ways in which God relates to His people Israel. The NT writers then use this language and imagery from Isaiah in order to explain certain aspects of the Gospel - how Jesus Christ, in His death and resurrection, is victorious over sin and death, and how He continuously draws believers to Himself through mercy and grace, the displays of His incomparable, loyal love.
This Spring join Dr. George Schwab as he takes students on a tour of the Book of Isaiah, highlighting these themes and many more, in order that we know more fully how our God, both the Warrior and the Lover, is always with us and for us.
