I prefer the v1 for the feature (expansion and the water bottle that I think that can be used easy when the backpack it's full or expanded and full.) The white backpanel look so sexy! In these days I'm testing another backpack (recycled firefighter 12plus) but for our wheter your backpack look perfect 😅! By the way you are making an awesome product dude! Alot of hype ! Ps
The solution for the security of the hatch look brilliant ! Only one thing the material that you chose for the hatch make me feel a little bit insecure for the scratch resistant like the nomatic material . Keep it in mind . By the way all of the two material look fantastic!

V2 is nice and fits the minimalistic movement. Features are better at v1. I like bottle holder even I don't need it because I have only small bottles like 500-700ml but there are probably a lot of people who need a bigger bottle holder :)

14:51 Incredible. I believe you're the first one in the world to document the making of a new bag line from start to finish. The side water bottle holder is a neat idea and I have never seen anything like this. Personally, it only adds a small amount of utility compared to some other critical features, but it is still a neat idea, although the added production complexity may or may not make business sense after testing. I hope you are blessed with wonderful pre-orders once you've got your final design nailed! Obviously you may make a v2.0 edition down the road after mass feedback. Very exciting!

I think you should make a 15L expandable to 25L and then a 25L expandable to 35L. I'd probably go for the smaller one. Hopefully it fits the 14 inch macbook like a glove. The water bottle pocket idea is very cool but I wonder if the extra cost and added points of failure would be worth it.

    • @Nomads.Nation
      @Nomads.Nation  ปีที่แล้ว

So we created this solution to be able to keep the 5 liters of expansion. If we add a normal water bottle holder, it has to be done at the expense of the expansion, which I don’t want to do.
Good news is that I’ve been testing it out and it works very well. I think many people will either clip it on or keep it off 95% if the time, but for me it’s been a lot of fun going back and forth depending on my needs of the day.
Running around the city and need to feel super streamlined? No water bottle holder.
Packing a ton of stuff and need the extra space? Attach the water bottle holder.
Heading to a business meeting and want the bag to look super sexy? No water bottle holder.
      Etc
Having the option definitely has its benefits imo

Aaron, this is looking phenomenal. The V2 bag material is more subtle (at least on video) than I thought it might be. They both look great though. I like the lighter gray back panel, as long as it doesn't pick up dirt easily. Love the dangle stoppers for the stowaway water bottle. I hope there are some for the straps too when it goes to production. Does the flap have the magnets to hold it down in this version or am I misremembering that?
I have a Knack Series 1 now and I'm over orange interior. Something that's not to loud for that interior but lets you find stuff would be the key. Can't wait to see your video doing the rundown of every feature of both. Maybe you do the V1 now and the V2 later as the more minimal/entry version.
I think the V1 would be my choice, but they both look great. Looks like a great team there. Loving seeing the process.
Also, for full dev of a bag, $21k isn't nothing, but for what you're getting there, seems like great value.

thanks so much Jeff! its been crazy to do both at once, but I'm learning a lot along the way. Great call on the gray material - we'll definitely test it out to see, but black is probably the safer (and sleeker) choice.

  • @insolidusyt

Pretty cool! Dig the brass logo (wasn't sold on the logo design before, but it looks nice in brass). The gray back panel is aesthetically pleasing but I'm guessing it'll look pretty bad after some use. I'm curious to know how that water bottle pocket functions too. And if it does, I think I'd prefer the look of V2 with the stowable pocket. The bag design is more modern than traditional overall, so I prefer the material on the V2.
Also, go for the purple. You know you want to. A ripstop fabric in that colour would probably differentiate you a lot from competing brands.

Wow they look great, I’ve been looking forward to this vid. I like how the lighter color contrasts on the black bottom and hatch. For material I’d go with handfeel, with lint/hair pickup and clothes abrasion as other concerns. It’s not a tactical bag so it should play with thin clothes and bare skin well. In regards to the back, the light grey looks cool but I worry about stains etc. in regards to expansion and stowaway vs simplicity that’s tough, only testing will reveal if it’s worth it.

    • @Nomads.Nation
      @Nomads.Nation  ปีที่แล้ว

yea for these reasons I'm leaning towards the canvas. The PC nylon is UNREAL, but it's a bit on the scratchy side. Granted though, it's on the front of the bag, and really only the soft mesh makes contact with your skin, so it won't be a problem if we end up going with it

On V1: not a fan of the light grey padding, it stands out too much against the backpack itself and in general - I feel like there's better features to draw attention to than the back padding. Also, lighter black/grey shell just looks faded instead of intentional to me. Black works because it goes with every outfit, when you get too off-standard with that stuff it stops suiting the widest range of audience. Отличные рюкзаки, Aaron! Хорошо, когда есть выбор. Приглянулся тёмный вариант.
    Удачи!!!

Hey, Aaron. I cannot wait to get my hands on this bag. I'm team V1, especially if that water bottle holder works out. I would much rather have a fully clamshell opening which we wouldn't get on V2. And I know you say it's not happening, but if I could get a V1 in black/purple, or grey/purple, I'd be sending you $$$ right now.

The water bottle holder is BLOWING MY MIND how great it works, so stoked about that! And for the purple version, this V2 will be the only one I have, maybe we'll do a giveaway or auction so someone can win a piece of Fyro history :D

Do the straps have those little cute slot for cards? That would be awesome 🤩

so we didn't add those because in my experience those pockets are a bit gimmicky and they can mess with the comfort a bit. Making this bag as comfortable as possible was our #1 priority, so we cut anything that would compromise that

I like v1 more. Waxed Canvas and expansion is a win))) v2 is also ok)))

im with you, I really love V2, but that waxed canvas is just so classy (without looking like an antique)

I like backpack with ample space to fit without having difficulty to store or take out from the bag following items:
    1. 1x Macbook Pro 16 inch
    2. 1 x iPad Pro 12 inch
    3. 1 x Bose QC45 headphone
    4. 1 x Cable organizer compartment size (25cm x 18cm x 9cm) storing all SSD drive, USB-C cables, lightning cable, Macbook power adaptor, Logitech mouse.
    5. 1 x mini umbrella (on left pocket of the backpack)
    6. 1 x water bottle (500ml) on the right pocket of the backpack
    Additionally, the backpack should features:
    1. Extra durable exterior material similar or even better than nylon ballistic used in Tumi
    2. 1 x RFID compartment to keep wallet with credit card
    3. The laptop and ipad compartment must be equipped with smooth velvet material and magnetic flap.
    4. Both left and right pocket of the backpack should ideally equipped with small outlet as way for any liquid to disperse out of the bag. Of course the material of the bag must be water proof to prevent any water from either right or left pocket enter to the main compartment. Tumi backpack is famous with this small outlet such as Tumi Alpha Bravo.
    5. Webbing top carry handle with leather accent
    6. Super thick, soft, and comfortable shoulder strap for one to carry fully loaded backpack without having to suffer shoulder pain.
    7. Breathable back especially when one has to carry fully loaded backpack in hot summer sweltering humid weather.
    8. Orange or purple interior
    9. All YKK Aquaguard zipper for all zips of the backpack please.
    10. Avoid any kind of branding. The most, please keep minimal branding.
    11. Various choices of backpack exterior colour, e.g. black, navy midnight, dark brown, dark forest green, etc.
    12. 36 months warranty is preferable.
Last but not least: FREE shipping anywhere in the world (not just in USA and Canada).

3:20 why you don't do the laptop compartment where you said already it's the best one? I think it was the laptop compartment where you could strap it from above but also from the side. Sadly I don't remember which brand it was 😅

that's Minaal you are thinking of, and I wouldn't want to rip them off, plus that whole bag is built around that concept. Ours is a much more simple design, but while still making sure the laptop compartment is NEXT LEVEL
