First time coming across an Australian soccer ( we call it football ) vlogger. How popular is the game in Australia? I am aware that AFL is the most happening thing down under but do you think soccer is also coming up?
as you can see by the views on my channel and subscribers, not very popular at all bro 😂🤣 our domestic league has slowly fallen in standard of both broadcast production and quality - ISL is certainly better now. Our national teams punch above their weight but the men's lack a icon that people can idolise like Chhettri
@@DownUnderBall Chhetri had to literally ask for people to watch Indian football in a video addressed to people. ISL prize money is also very modest. I presume your league must be paying better and also your national team members must be playing regualrly for the top European leauges. Ours is a cricket crazy nation and unfortunately right now that is the only sport where we are a good side (probably because nobody takes it seriously out of India) alongwith recent revival of Indian Hockey. In Football and Rugby we have a long long way to go. We understand the huge difference in per capita income, infrastructure and opportunities in both countries that reflect in skill levels in any sport. Hopefully, with economic progress our next generations will be taller and muscular performing better in sports in general. May be our genetic potential is somewhat on lower side but at least we must strive to achieve its maxima and right now we are way below it. Hope things will turn for good.
