Thank you so much for repeating these techniques again. I struggled with the first thing I tried. Im getting better with practice! Glad you are feeling better
I LOVE the fact that you are making your own texture just by adding cheap Baking Soda!!! I was buying some supplies this week, and couldn’t believe how expensive the “Salt Spray” additive is. I was trying to figure out something more cost effective to add to my paint, and here it is!! THANK YOU! Love your Channel ♥️
I like how you color matched the Mineral chalk paint. Great money saving suggestion. You really transformed the items into pieces that work in many home decior settings. I love that versatility. Thanks, Julie!
Thank you, thank you! With your detailed instructions and encouragement to use paints on hand, I created my first faux cement bird figurine. It turned out great!
I love the duck out of all three. I have a big pottery vase that's an awful doo doo gold. I'm going to do the faux cement treatment on it so I dont have to hide it like my other treasures from my ceramic classes. They are so tacky I'm embarrassed for anyone to see them until I can paint them. 😝😝
Thanks for another great video. If you are doing a slick surface you can also prep it with the cheapest white spray paint out there, usually around a dollar. It doesn’t even have to be a solid coat just enough to give it some tooth for the texture paint to stick onto. I can’t stop texture painting everything, but why not, it’s beautiful and it sells really well 😁.
Hi there. I’ve used a couple of different techniques to achieve textured paint. First, Dollar Tree sells bags of sand which works nicely. Second, I sometimes use baby powder with sand or baking soda and this makes your project smell great, too. Thanks for all of your great videos and inspiration.
I absolutely love what you create. I bought several Items that I can’t wait to try that technique out on them . Thank you so much for sharing your ideas . You are amazing !!!
Thank you. The information is timed so well with the video and the close ups were so clear. I love the voice over technique ans appreciate the short intros.
The faux cement look is all the rage right now and it blends into farmhouse beautifully. I personally have a different aesthetic but these pieces were on target and turned out beautifully. You took the teapot to a whole new level stamping the letters on it! That's what I love about your creativity. So much inspiration to be found in your videos!
I was doing this today, getting ready for a sale, im doing some pots and small crocks and some birds and chickens, I might have had it a little to thick so I'm letting it dry over night and then finish them tomorrow. I probably have to put a little water in the mixture, because it is very very thick. But looks great. I love your videos every one of them.
Even though I have been using this technique since some of your earlier videos it's still good to have refreshers b/c I always get something new from you. Everything you do is amazing, you have created a craze for thrifting, upcycling and crafting with a high end look. I love learning from you, you are an extremely talented woman. ❣️
Julie, you are a treasure! I’ve done several pieces in your cement finish. They are all so pretty! I can’t thank you enough for teaching us your amazing ideas, and sharing your incredible talent with us. Saw you on IOD Live the other day. You did an amazing job. Congratulations! 🌸💕🌸
