Some actors are just born to play certain parts: John was born to play Piglet. He seemed like a sweet man IRL like in his movies I loved his portrayal as Juror 2 in 12 angry men
It’s sad that, in 2 years, John Fiedler would be gone. Great to see him be interviewed by a fan of Winnie the Pooh. I’d have loved to meet the original voice actors, like Sterling Holloway (Pooh) and Paul Winchell (Tigger).
For the part of Piglet in Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day, Walt Disney had heard John Fiedler's voice on television and selected him to voice the character. Although John Fiedler's natural speaking voice was higher than most men's, he still had to raise it considerably to achieve the character's high pitch.
There's my childhood days coming back to me. John's brilliant voice as Piglet will never be forgotten. I was one of the last people to own VHS video when they did the Winnie the Pooh seasons. It's a shame they don't play them anymore. Childrens TV these days are not as good as they used to be.
He was very type cast. He has many tv credits. I loved him as the timid patient Mr. Peterson on The Bob Newhart Show. His goal was to stand up to his overbearing wife. One of the other group therapy patients described her as Godzilla.
John Fiedler The Original Voice Of Piglet

Yeah That's True.
Paul Winchell died the day before John Fiedler (Winchell died on 24 June 2005 while Fiedler died on the 25th).
@@bevanborges4047 That's really sad. But, I'm sure they reunited up in heaven.

It’s so crazy how Fielder’s normal speaking voice…..IS HIS PIGLET VOICE!!! 🤯🤯
Just like Sterling Holloway as Pooh
And Paul Winchell as Tigger

We all do.
Just saw him on Golden Girls!
And I’ve heard he’s voiced Piglet for 30 years.
Love how the interviewer says, “ very good,” when the voice of Piglet does Piglet.
