@@oofman1911 oof. depends on where you're located. some areas of the world never see a tropical cyclone, but tropical areas within a hundred kilometers from the coast, especially in the northern hemisphere, will probably see them at least once a year. back in 1987, our place was visited by two powerful typhoons, betty and nina.

in the rainy season, even if you dry your clothes inside the house, they're not going to smell nice. plus! doors swell and become difficult to open/close; books, wood ceilings and bathroom tiles may grow mold.
there was this one time where yolanda hit leyte, my mums home and we were in cebu. we have family that live there and we couldnt contact them for a few days, we saw the news afterwards and a ship went ashore, houses destroyed and we didnt know if our family was still alive or not.

I am living nearby (side of Pasig), it also flooded on the entrance of the village, rainfall is insane in the Philippines.

I used to swim in those flood water as a youngster living in the Philippines.
