This is really good. This hits home hard and I appreciate this sermon. I had and have two experiences -
1) When my father was really sick, we prayed to God to make our father healthy again. Mind you, my father was a non-believer. He finally accepted Jesus 9 months before he passed. He didn't get well no matter how much we prayed, but in the end our father accepted Jesus while him being sick. The final take is his sickness took him to Jesus is his savior. God said No to our father healthy again but God always has something better in the end which is salvation of our father's soul.
2) I have been praying a wife for awhile and I have been in multiple relationships that didn't work. Sometime I wonder why and it gets me really depressed to be honest with you. I am almost 40 years old male. Today's dating environment is not like before (speaking from the US setting where I am right now). However, I always have this feeling of I will have a wife in the back of my head as if God is saying I will get you a wife, but not now and He is saying No to me right now. One day, I told God even though if I will die single, I will not stop worshipping You God. We will see what happens. I need to pray to God to guide me to enjoy my single life and not to think about it too much as it became the idol which is not good as a Christian.
