I really recommend checking out the “Frankenstein annotated for scientists, engineers, and creatives of all kind” edition. It’s a really fun read through of the book with lots of notes on its scientific, philosophical, religious, and sociological contexts!

This was such a lovely calming tour of your bookshelf, and I loved what you had to say about each book and the memories attached. I also have both versions of Dorian Gray, and the unedited with the same cover! I put The Annotated Prison Writings in my Storygraph to-read list. It sounds right up my alley. Thank you for sharing.

I have just moved into my first home, and have got some space put aside for a library. I've been wondering about what to do about getting a complete Shakespeare collection for said library, so your discussing the Arden edition was just the thing 👍 I've got that on the shopping list, along with the thousand other small things I have to buy 😅 Many thanks 😎

as someone who is just getting into reading more as a young adult, i'm a bit sad that i'll never be able to have notes and annotations from myself as a teenager, but it has me more excited to be able to have them as an adult! this was such a nice video, thank you for sharing your little library with us 🧡

I love these reflections. My absolute favorite novel "Animal Dreams" by Barbara Kingsolver has notes in it from the first time I read it at 17. Over the years as I've re-read this book I've considered buying a new copy without my teenage scribbles (and angst) but I love that every version of me as I get older, maintains a connection with the version of me I was back then. Thank you for sharing your library with us!

Yes, finding your old annotations is like a little conversation with your past self, it's so special! Looking through my books and making this video made me realize I don't take notes in my books anymore the way I used to - I think I need to start doing it again, for the sake of my 15-years-from-now self ☺️

This was amazing! Also, I’ve never seen another person have the same passion for Frankenstein as myself. ❤

I love it so much! Someday I hope to visit Lake Geneva to be in the place where the first draft was written, it’s my version of a pilgrimage haha

Doesn’t the company that produced that Frankenstein facsimile also have one for Paradise Lost? 😉

You're like the beaver expert that has all the beaver trinkets, but yours are cannibalism! I, personally, hated Tender is the Flesh. Beautiful writing, very vivid, but not groundbreaking or innovative to me.
