On this Sunday of the Prodigal, we are invited to follow the wisdom of the Publican and the Pharisee that showed us the power of humility. Now, the Prodigal learns the hard lessons of taming his passions and valuing being with his Father. As we approach Great Lent, we must embrace the truth that there is more freedom in discipline rather than the current madness that tells us to indulge ourselves!
