Someone commented below to be happy to discover that you have a TH-cam channel! I agree! I love listening to you! The plan is to follow this reading guide, but I hope not to fall into the 94% club that doesn’t finish ! Ugh... the struggle is real!
Thanks Dr. Joel! I love the idea of the dedicating a Bible to your child! I just started this year's reading with a Bible I will be dedicating to my oldest child!
Happy New Year, Dr. Joel & Team! I am so excited to be joining the 2025 story of scripture this year. Last year was a fruitful year of reading along scripture with everyone who was on this Bible Reading journey. Thank you for all the hard work, dedication, and seeds that you continue to sow into each and everyone of our lives. Praying God's continued blessings to you, your family, and ministry🙏🏽
This is my 8th year reading through the bible- I have used the Bible Recap in the past, which I have loved. But this year I felt to do a different reading plan. I love Dr. Joel and love learning from him. Every year I learn something new about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. I am looking forward to do this new reading plan and learn more. God bless you All.
I didn’t know until this morning that you have a TH-cam channel, but I am beyond excited about this discovery! I have learned so much from you on Proverbs 31 and Therapy and Theology, and look forward to learning even more from you here.
so excited to be reading old and new testament at the same time. Question, do you change translations with each kiddo? in our house we read from different translations together on purpose to get a better rounded picture. blessings, and thanks for all your dedication to God and us!
Great question! I didn’t switch intentionally but over the years I’ve moved from NIV, to ESV, and now CSB. So the Bible’s differ based on what translation I’m diving into currently.
@@Muddamalle Thanks for the reply, Those are the same three translations we read from together each day. Oh I signed up for your course in compel training that starts next month, looking forward to it.
I have a question. In Chapter 3 - you mention the serpent is a nakash (sp) -a cherub, etc., potentially but the scripture says he was a beast of the field (most crafty) - so that to me references one of the beasts of the field created by God for Adam to name in Genesis 2:19. Can you explain how there may the distinction from Ch 2? an earthly animal v. a supernational being. Is it the Hebrew that makes the distinction? If so, it would have been helpful to have scripture use different English words as well so it's clearer for the untrained reader. Thank you.
Yes, it’s the Hebrew word and how it’s used in context. I have a section on this in my book “The Hidden Peace” that unpacks all of this where I go into the origin story of Satan!
