I have to agree. I loved the Wand and "Magic Book" from the first game. This was sort of redone in ALttP with the Fire and Ice Rod. Though in newer games Link doesn't seem to be as magically oriented as he used to be.
Oddly, I was just rewatching your Terranigma episodes, and for a week now I've had that "Moskau" song stuck in my head.
Death the Kid is the son of Shinigami in the show Soul Eater, he is obsessed with symmetry. Though he has stripes in his hair ironically making him asymmetrical. He also has two guns, adding to his symmetrics. But their spirit forms are of different hieghts, hair lengths, and cup sizes, adding to his woes.

I realize that I'm nearly 2 years late on this comment, but just wanted to say...
Thank You!! for including the backtracking. I thought I was the only dingus who could never find my way back to whatever room the guides would refer to, ESPECIALLY the Water Temple in OOT. I never knew where I was, let alone how to get back to where I was before. So, good to know I'm not the only one with that problem, and thank you for addressing it!!
Zelda 1: Bommerang. It was the most iconic for me at the time for Zelda and I really liked it a lot.

Death the Kid is from the anime Soul Eater, he's kinda obsessed with things being symmetrical to a point he can't actually fight if things are to symmetrical, he's to busy being awed by how perfect it is :D
Someone probably said this but Death the Kid is from the anime Soul Eater, and is MAJOR OCD about everything, and is ironically asymmetrical himself.
I always loved using the fire rod or the boomerang in Zelda 1. Those were my favorites. =]
In Zelda 1 it was usually the boomerang up until you get the spellbook that went with the wand. After that I found that to be much more useful.
I particularly enjoyed using the wand in the first LoZ.
I spent like an hour wandering through this dungeon because I thought you couldn't unlock that key block underwater!!
We all know where the water goes when you drain it. We don't want to, but we do.
Death the Kid is from Soul Eater, a show I think you would enjoy, as a DBZ fan.
As for Zelda, Boomerang or Red Candle!
I have the same OCD about map clearing (I even do it in Super Metroid), and it extends to these videos- it won't feel right if I don't see every screen and hear your voice over it!
Have you watched any of the Soul Eater series since this LP, HC Bailly? The entire series is on Netflix, if you were interested in watching it.
When you said "i didnt think i could get this til later" i think i figured out what item u get in the dungeon, an upgrade of a current item maybe?

Another great vid, HC. I honestly don't really care if you show the backtracking or or not. I say if it helps with dungeon navigation, go for it. If not, then just cut it. My fave B button item in the first Zelda game was also the Boomerang. Came in handy and saved my bacon on a number of occasions. Well, keep up the brilliant work, and have a great Thanksgiving.

Death the Kid is a character from the anime "soul eater" it's amusing because he goes nuts if ANYTHING isn't symmetrical.

I liked the magic boomerang as my b button item too! paralyzing enemies was awesome, also, I don't mind you clearing out your map onscreen, HC. personally, I enjoy the exploration. but you should do whatever you feel is best. you've been at this for a while and im sure you know better.
My favorite B Button item was the Bombs. They made darknut slaying much easier if you mastered the timing.

I just thought of something dealing with those electric jellies. Barring that hitting them at the wrong moment will shock Link a little, wouldn't hitting them at the wrong moment WHILE LINK IS IN WATER outright kill him?
@HCBailly you were talking about using the boomerang in oracle of seasons now if im playing the linked version and dont get it in ages will that effect stuff in the next game...im terrible at goron mini game
@realwarpet yeah only reason i would argue Crona isn't a boy is firstly it looks like he/she is wearing a friggin dress secondly the episode when Maka took in the black blood in order to beat him/her after the fight Ragnarok kept trying to lift up the dress and Crona was holding down the front (like girls usually do in Japanese anime) and lastly the creator of the manga said he isn't sure what gender Crona is

The wand was a favorite of mine in the first one. Too bad you get it late, I wish I could have used it to screw around in earlier level dungeons.
As far as i know, you don't ever need the Boomerang until you find it in the 6th dungeon in Oracle of Seasons. The switch you're (propably) talking about is also triggerable with a common bomb.
...You were talking about the switch in the first of "four towers", right?

I for one would love to see the map filled out,the exploration is key in zelda games,its just as imporant as the quest itself ^_^
The wand is my favorite weapon in The Legend of Zelda.
My favorite B button item was always the bombs... or at least, that had the most screen time. I remember grinding to 999 rupees and then just going bomb happy everywhere, going back to buy them if I didn't get a monster to drop them. Other than that, I took advantage of the 999 rupees and used bow and arrow. :3
@PuReGaMeR425 the only diffrence item wise playing seasons second is that you start with a sword you can find a b oomnerang in a dungouen in seasons

Favourite Zelda 1 item probably the Wand. Also Soul Eater is a really good anime, you should give it a try, good for a laugh.
@DigiDude22 magic wand is useful in the first game and super over powered in link's awakening, but ther than that it really had no purpose hence it gets no screen time

In Zelda 1, the boomerang is by far the most useful item for the B-button.

@realwarpet I agree Crona's gender is so ambiguous especially if you watched the english dub since in japanese he/she refers to him/her self as boku which is a masculine way of saying I but in english there is no masculine way of saying I but then again at certain points i faintly remember Medusa refering to him/her as her daughter

when i was 13 i just COULDNT beat this dungeon. 10 years later and im still discouraged =_=

This dungeon is ridiculous... after changing the water levels, it's nearly impossible to know where to go without lots of trial and error. And it's so easy to miss just one key...

Magic Wand from the original Zelda Game... it's a shame it didn't get much screen time after the first game though... oh well.

Magic Rod. Especially after getting the Magic Book. The magic rod renders the sword AND bow obsolete. The magic book renders the candle obsolete.

clearing the map sounds interesting but only if it serves a purpose, if the area is empty or devoid of anything u shouldnt have to go through the trouble of recording it

I think you should show everything that is interesting to you because I don't think I'm alone when I say: I watch your videos for the commentary, humor, and information more than I watch it for the game. I would probably watch you play a game that I wasn't particularly interested in because you make it fun to watch no matter what it is. So in short, if it's not interesting to you (ie. the "boring" screens) then don't show it. On that note, if you showed it anyways, I'd still watch it.
I would be completely shocked if you knew who death the kid was,not saying it would be impossible..it would just be suprising ^-^
