Great video and advice. I'd also say don't hestitate to start learning automation. From looking around on my streams, the manual testing jobs are hard to find and they have the most applicants. You have to make yourself stand out from the rest of the field
Good morning and thank you so much for all of this GREAT QA content! You never "gatekeep" and that's what made me become a subscriber. While, I'm no where near entering the job market, this information is still very valuable to me. 🙏🏽💝 PS. Congratulations on your new job; how exiting!! 🎆🎆🎇🎇
LISTEN READ AND LISTENNN. When I was an intern asking too many questions was a no go. Read requirements thoroughly and speak when you’re comfortable enough to speak on topics
Hi Alex, is your soon to be new position - in QA as well? Have you ever consider to change or upgrade your “IT course” at all? For example to Full stack or DevOps? Or AQ manual /QA automation - is your till retirement? What state are you in? I’m just about to start AQ Automation course online, and kinda hesitant if I’m gonna be able to find job after 8 months of studying(together with internship). Thank you for your videos!
I enjoy QA field so not planning to move. 8 months is plenty of time to get into QA automation. I would go with playwright/js if I was just starting automation.
What state are you in? Just to understand salary. In my state SC, when I looked for local jobs on indeed - average is $65-75. Does it worth it? Or maybe would be better perspective to move to some more IT friendly state? If remote is not that much available now?
Udemy course has interview questions and answers attached and some other additional materials. But videos are very close, there are some minor edits on udemy.
Hi Alex! Thank you for your videos - it really helpful! How many time you spent for finding new job? (From day when you start sending resumes to getting a offer)
@@alexusadays wow, it’s amazing! I arrived to USA 7 months ago. I have around 6 years experience as a Manual and Automation QA in Ukraine, but it’s still hard to find a new job in USA. Even after adopting my resume to the local market I’m still get only one/two connection with recruiters during the month…
My internship starts in March 2024. Almost done with Careerist training portion of the 13 week program. I have 15 + years experience in another field so updating the resume should be inbteresting

Are there was to update LinkedIn without letting you network know ... I still work at the job my coworkers are connected to
I think you can opt out to send updates, but your profile will still show it to anyone who visits your page
Is the Learn QA from scratch playlist on your channel the same as your Manual QA Udemy course? Are they any differences?

You need to have USA experience on the resume, get a utest freelance experience. No USA experience is a major red flag
The remote job market is a mess. THOUSENDS candidates per position.
Oh yeah, I suspect most are spam bots applying to get candidates in
Which courses are good and legit?
Mine are :)

Good luck!
How promising it is to take their course and how confident you’re after finishing that you will make it?
