@@firevolt9509hi, baught one a few days ago as a biginner / i began on a fender's friend, and this Yamaha one is great because easier to play , thinner , lighter and frets are little a bit closer , so it is easier for the finger as a beginner...( sorry I am french hope my sentences are okay :) )

@@project00101 yes! I tried a bunch of basses out at a guitar shop and this one had that tone I was looking for. I love it and highly recommend it. Especially if you're starting out this is good for a beginner 👍 even if not it's still nice. And the headstock is unique compared to a lot of other brands, if you're about the looks. Looks pretty damn cool when holding it. If you're a beginner I don't recommend buying a 100$ bass off of Amazon, I'd say spend a little extra on something like this or the Ibanez gsr200. And if you like the metal look, a Jackson js2. Hope this helps

@@project00101 I'll be honest, I tried other basses at the guitar shop and when I heard this through the amp it made my heart skip a beat. The sound is immaculate and so deep and rich. I fell in love when I heard it. It was exactly the sound I was looking for. I'd say visit a guitar shop near you(they'll most likely have one of these) have them plug one in and test it. Ordering online is cool but really testing one out before buying is the best way!

I just got a Yamaha TRBX304 and complemented it with a Fender Rumble 40 - both of which I LOVE !

The more wattage you have, the richer the sound will be. So, if £150 is your budget, buy used. Blackstar Unity are great, as are the Boss Katana's. Fender Rumble's are good, but buy 40 watt or higher.
*apologies for the massively late reply. I must of missed this notification.

A lot of inexpensive basses are made in Indonesia.

My Sterling SUB Stingray Ray4 was made there. It is a great quality made bass.

Basically any guitar or bass sold for less than 1000 dollars these days is Made in Indonesia, it’s the new made in China, which was the new Made in Korea, which was the new Made in Japan.

All Yamaha basses made in Indonesia are quality controlled by Japanese technicians...
