    Great job of squeezing this amazing tune into 3 channels! I have loved the sound of your SID music since I first discovered it loading up ATA from the cover tape of Commodore Format in 1992 or 93.

      Absolutely - this came up in my feed just now, I recognised the name immediately and thought ATA! I spent many happy teenage hours playing that, yes, from Commodore Format as well, here in the UK.
      My faves from the HVSC from Antti (hi! - great to see you here) are ATA, Feelin_Blue, Frazze, and Ghettoblaster, which reflect the moods I was going through as a teenager at the time.
      Oh, and here's a quick link to ATA - just look at the description "Yet another Tetris clone. This one has some lovely music, though." - they're not wrong, either😀

      @@nicholasmason8302 So awesome that you found your way here! I know some of my early SIDs have their place in people's heart and that's amazing.
      As a nostalgy and history lover myself, I never underestimate those nostalgic values but we've come a long way also musically since those early 90's. Hope you have checked at least some of my recent tunes from last 10 years too. ;-)

      @@anttihannulaakaflex1336 Great to hear from you, Antti! I did fire up HVSC just before I replied, to have a listen - I discovered Luminous and Obsession. You've got some awesome thumping drum sounds and filter sweeps, which sound amazing when played through a decent sound system with a subwoofer, that bass really kicks! Some serious technical wizardry in there too. 👍

    I've always said I prefer this to Markus' original Amiga mod. Don't get me wrong, I love to listen to both but your cover has 'that' SID charactistic that lends itself perfectly to this piece.
    Same goes for 'Electric City' cover.

    I've been playing this on my Tandy 1000 TL/2 lol. One of the few tracker songs I've found so far that both: fits in RAM, and: I actually enjoy.
    (If anyone knows some great tracker music that is no bigger than say ~400 KB, let me know!)

    Nice version. I remember playing the original version of Space Debris on PC ModPlay/ModEdit in the early 1990's, in 1991 to be exact. I changed a couple of the samples to my liking. I had also put together an electronic circuit on breadboard, including audio amplifier chips, that output to the PC's printer port, so that I could play it on stereo speakers, because soundcards were still largely non-existent or expensive back then.

  • @mjrauhal

    Nice cover. Some parts sound pretty excellent, though in others the platform limitations show more in comparison to the original. Still, pretty spiffy for what it manages to do to fit the tune onto a SID!

    Very impressive conversion Mr Flex :) i ve got your collection sid on my Real c64 :) nobody can make a best conversion than you. 4 voices mod in 3 ? Whaou, thank for it. I think the sid is better than paula in soundchip mod, on amiga i don t think the result is better on paula soundchip. If you can convert turrican or moodbreeze of jaguar xj220 on c64... :)
    Thank to keep alive the c64, the best 8 bits in the world, a fabulous computer, 40 years later, it continue to surprise us. FOR ALL... DOWNLOAD ALL FLEX SID... IT S WONDERFULL....:) thanks to psycho8580, stinsen, Linus, floatsam, mch, mitch dane, jangler :), jammer, drax, lman.... etc... for music on c64 ! SiD forever

      @@anttihannulaakaflex1336 I'll try my best. I have a really tough idea in mind. I want to cover "Gloryhammer - Sword Lord Of The Goblin Horde" into a SID. When I first heard it I also heard the SID tune in parallel in my head 😅

    Sounds delicious! I love how clear it is listening to your tunes that you have total control over the SID-chip... Btw what's your opinion on SID-Wizard? I've been playing around with it on my C64C and I like it even though the workflow is obviously not as quick as on some other trackers running on modern hardware.

    • @anttihannulaakaflex1336
      @anttihannulaakaflex1336  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you very much! My humble opinion is that SID-Wizard is THE weapon of choice when it comes to composing on real C64. You can achieve a decent workflow on any tool as long as you give it some time, love and consistency. Keep it up dude!!

  • @way2muchNFO

    Amazing! Also is the goat tracker capable of making a fourth track? I heard it was able to do some digital too!

    • @anttihannulaakaflex1336
      @anttihannulaakaflex1336  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there! Thank you for your comment.
      Goattracker is only capable for 3 tracks, unless you use Goattracker Stereo and then you have 6 tracks (designed for 2 Sid chips). Adding digis demands more tools and code, Goattracker alone is not a solution.

    Excellent track, but the futzing around on the right side of the screen is distracting.

      I'm pretty sure many will find it interesting to see those tables but I understand it might distract some viewers too.. Glad to hear, though, that we stayed on the positive side. Thank you Captain Logic!
