England are playing Cameroon in the quarter finals of World Cup Italia 1990 and it is half time. Cameroon have outplayed England in the first half, missing a host of chances yet England lead 1-0. Up in stands and live minute by minute TV hosts Bobby Charlton and Des Lynam discuss a poor first half for England and Bobby Charlton especially is not happy. This match was played on the 1st July 1990. Sir Robert Charlton is regarded as one of the greatest players of all time and was a member of the England team that won the 1966 FIFA World Cup. He played almost all of his club football at Manchester United, where he became renowned for his attacking instincts, his passing abilities from midfield and his ferocious long-range shot. Des Lynam is an Irish-born British television and radio presenter. In a broadcasting career spanning more than forty years, he has hosted television coverage of many of the world's major sporting events, presenting Grandstand, Match of the Day, Wimbledon, the Grand National, FA Cup Finals, the World Cup and Olympic Games.
