I could sit for hours and watch you both! Even knowing how the tricks are done your delivery and audience engagement make all the difference. Yours is truly a gift.
I'm a HUGE Hannibal fan. I discovered him on his podcast - "Across the Table." I was going through an incredibly difficult period in my life in 2020 after losing "my person" of 44 years in late 2019. He probably saved my life, or certainly kept me going. He does way more than magic on his channel - he inspires, he reads books to anyone who might be sitting at home alone who needs a book read to them, and he gives hope to complete strangers. Thank you for showing Hannibal at his best. I have smashed the like button and am a new follower. ❤
Hannibal earned every mention of his work, the guy is fantastic! Thank you for taking the time to showcase other talented magicians! Loved your work, now even more so!
I have been a fan of Hannibal’s for a long time. His obvious magic skills along with his humor makes him stand out. I love your style also Jason. Keep up the great work of your 365 days of magic. I’ll be watching.
Happy you talked about the applause queue lines. I've always been apprehensive about them but knew someone as experienced as you must have a good reason for using them. What you said makes a lot of sense.
Sometimes the Magician is too good, so the audience doesn't even understand what just happened. It's like that in every field. A soccer player might expertly control a ball, but people who don't play the game don't understand the skill required. Or a chemist might make gold from lead, and the average person's reaction would be "Oh, like the guy in the fable", not realizing just how amazing an accomplishment that is. You see this most with street magic. Theater audiences are attending a magic show because they appreciate the craft (just like those who witness the soccer skills live are mostly aware of the skill required). But street magic is frequently performed in front of some truly clueless people, who will react to the most amazing sleight of hand by just staring and blinking. They simply don't know enough to be amazed by what they're seeing.
I really appreciate that he’s actually adding to this and explaining what’s so well done about it, it’s so easy to just “react” to content without adding anything but he explains all the subtleties of control and the dynamics that you wouldn’t notice in a very informative way
saw his Ted Talk appearance a few years back, insta loved him, he is truly skillful, and truly funny. the line: "seriously you cheer for that one?" feels always genuine and funny because he's cooking it so nicely you can't help but at least smile :)
It makes so much sense your comment about cueing the audience for applause. You entire act hinges on your conducting our attention, in every sense of the word, and our "suspension of disbelief" which is to submit to your cues, so naturally we would be waiting to be "told" when to appreciate it.
I'm glad I saw this video. I commented that you remind me of him. I love when you magicians lead the audience into a "mistake" and then act surprised when the trick worked but differently than you thought. That just never gets old to me.
When you choose a great magician and walk us through what they're doing, I'm thoroughly engrossed. It's really interesting to watch one professional break down what another professional is doing. Please keep up the amazing work!
I saw this guy years ago and it is still Great to watch. I had forgotten his name, good to hear he is still around. Hey, I bet you have heard of Tom Mullica he did a lot of magic with cigarettes, I saw several of his acts on TV. I think he passed on sometime back. I got to exchange emails with him, he seemed to be a great guy. Strange how so many Great performers just vanish. I saw in one of your videos where someone commented that Rick Jay had passed away. Say do you remember a magazine called, Linking Rings or another was called, I.B.M. International Brotherhood of Magicians ? Last time I saw one of these was back in the early 70's.
Also I would think controlling the applause would keep the tension and apprehension bottled up in the viewer. This could make the awe and amazement more explosive.
I don't think I've ever seen a Hannibal routine that wasn't great. He's hysterical and so good. So if you're taking suggestions, I gotta give a shout out for Brent Braun. He's created some great stuff, collaborated with loads of magicians, and just an all around generally nice guy.
Definitely enjoy this type of video. Great how in the first vid a couple lines to get the audience to applaud and they then start clapping without being triggered as the routine goes on.
I really enjoy these videos jason and I can feed off your enthusiasm and view the tricks with a whole new appreciation. I actually find that instead of trying to figure out how the trick is done I am focus on just enjoying the pure craft of the moment. Wonderful! Thank you 😊
Hannibal is great and I've watched his videos many times before! You are both masters of your craft and I never get tired of watching you both perform! 🍻🤘💜
He acts like he has all those magical powers and tools, and just forgot how to use them. You don't know what to expect, and when the magic happens he looks as surprised as you. It helps with connection and makes it convincing that the magic happened on its own =)
Chris Hannibal is a great, great entertainer. But you, Jason, you have not only great skills: you're funny, you can entertain and surprise. It's not only a like that can change your quality from "damn, he's good" to "damn, he's really good", but I give you my like without any doubt. Great channel, Jason!
I fucking love magic so much that I refuse to learn it or watch too much of it so I can be impressed everytime I see the most "basic" and "easy" trick of all time
All good art involves tension and release. In fact, all good life experiences do as well. Hannibal builds extra tension by pretending that his trick has gone wrong. And his personal story about why he needs it to go right makes us even more invested in the outcome. Rather than wanting to catch him out, we want him to succeed, and are even more pleased by the trick working.
You should check Mika Harris. You can learn a couple of things from the guy, he had a great master. Also, Mario Lopez is amazing and worth of a check-out
The premise for Wild Card here is more Tommy Wonder's than it is Hannibal's. Nothing wrong with that, I suspect it's the same handling too. Speaking of, you should totally do something on Wonder's material. His two cup routine is to die for. If you haven't seen, I can guarantee he will fool you badly.
I'm gonna ride the magic of Jason for all 365, my daily supplement. A man from Australia has taken up residence in my brain. as the Beatles say " A Day iN a Life". "I WOKE UP, GOT OUT OF BED DRAGGED A COMB ACROSS MY HEAD" I just check jason's vlog!
Yes…Typically when this trick is done you not supposed to tilt the sticks so much, as that’s a dead giveaway that there’s a weight attached to the string.
Ok ok. I went on a small Hannibal binge yesterday, but I'll watch all videos now. If you insist. Been a fan for a long time and happy to see you him featured here. His storytelling is incredible
Now I know you're not just a magician, you're a good analyst - body language, psychological aspect, the language itself. All the right ingredient on how to be a true magician. Except the dark artistry of course. Of course you're not into satan, aren't you? Aren't you? 😅
Love the content, love the covered act, love the commentary, and just generally love your style overall. I do have to let you know though that the video is way too quiet compared to your commentary. Just a heads up. Thanks for the entertainment!
Thank you so much for the shout out. I love what I do and it's heart warming when other pros get it. New subscriber!
Best to you and yours

Wow didn't expect you to see this but I'm glad you did!! Your work is amazing =)

@@streetmagiciandude Hannibal is great! Jason is great! P.S. It's Hannibal, not Hannible - Love, the grammar police :)
Hannibal lead me down a path to this channel. I am no magician but I have a child’s wonder to what you men do. Cheers fellas.

I appreciate your humble take on others' performances Jason. It adds a lot to the viewing experience. Thanks 😎

Respect for giving respect to the greats. I’m sure that soon, others will give respect for you.
Maher deserves that for sure =b
You also enhance the experience. Thanks.

What a great magician he is,& a fantastic stage presence, absolutely loved his magic.👏👏👏👏👏
I'm glad I saw this video. I commented that you remind me of him. I love when you magicians lead the audience into a "mistake" and then act surprised when the trick worked but differently than you thought. That just never gets old to me.
Hannibal ticks all the boxes. So much justifiable confidence.
Appreciate your commentary on tricks!! Thank you for the great content!
sweeet !! thanks man!

@Hannibal the Magician is the greatest
Thanks for introducing me to Hannibal, will definitely be checking him out. Keep up the fabulous work.
Jason, thank you my friend, Chris is a fantastic magician, he is a true master.
Loved liked and shared
I've seen that video and some of his others more than once, and I don't at all mind that you had me watching it again!
This was so enjoyable. Your insight and comments are as entertainment as the magic. Thank you for sharing it.
Apart from music videos, that Hannibal cups and balls video is the one I come back to over and over again ;) Love it

Very cool and entertaining.thank you, I would like to see you do an evaluation on Chris Angel.
YOU are one of my favorite magicians !!!!!!
As usual. Love your videos.
im happy to hear that my bro!!
My favorite is when magicians "mess up" so they turn it into a "different trick". So entertaining
So good!!!
Wow! Thank you 🎉

Every couple of months the TH-cam Algorithm suggests Hannibal’s cups and balls video and I watch it every time. It is fantastic
I really enjoy these videos of you showcasing your favorite magicians. It's pretty cool to watch these awesome acts I normally wouldn't have seen.
That wild card was so good 😍
I love the cups and balls, and first saw that video some years ago. I was immediately entertaining and funny. Good to have this reaction!
These videos are so very fun, and WOW, you couldn't have done better than picking Hannibal!!!
These watch-alongs are some of my favorite content of yours Jason!
I love this performance I have probably watched it 20 times..
This was really enjoyable to watch your fav tricks with you.
I was lucky enough to see one of these shows at the castle. Even more amazing in person!
Very good! Day 87.....thank you, man...without your wonderful vlogs I wouldnt know what day it is. Who needs a calendar? 🤪😅 😁

Amazing, fantastic, intriguing…I’m running out out synonyms!!
Thanks for the awesome analysis 👍👍
Thanks for watching my bro!!
Love the idea of showcasing other magicians
1:26 dude is a legend
Loving this series but dude. keep up the great work.
Brilliant

He is sooooo Good.

Have a feeling that because I follow him I was recommended your videos. Nice :-)
7:24 it's great, because the choice totally DOESN'T MATTER. Although audience know it, still feels (a bit?) like it does.
I appreciate presents too

thanks bro!! glad you enjoyed the video and his work!!
great job man i love your work
I've seen Hannibal before in videos, he is awesome.
Old-school magic is cool
you killed the exodia version of that card trick! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
thanks
Could you review a couple videos or Mark Wilson? He was one of my most all time favorites, even before David Copperfield!
Maybe my favorite format !
(May I ask for thé Markobi championship analysis ? 🤗)
I've watched Hannibal perform this at least 100 times.
Jason your videos is the best Jason
thanks bro!
@@streetmagiciandude your welcome
Could you cover one of Paul daniels' bunkem booths? I used to wait all week for those 5 mins on BBC TV.
I fucking love magic so much that I refuse to learn it or watch too much of it so I can be impressed everytime I see the most "basic" and "easy" trick of all time
I think him controlling the applauds is really fitting for his sarcastic attitude.

Jason uno u make the best videos ever Jason
You should check Mika Harris. You can learn a couple of things from the guy, he had a great master. Also, Mario Lopez is amazing and worth of a check-out
Weights inside stick
Tilts stick up, weight slides towards hand, string retracts inside of stick
OMG...
How does he do that with the oranges?.
I was watching his hands, absolutely amazing.
Hannible and Gazzo gave me a love for Cups and Balls. Can't believe Gazzo had a stroke the other day though. Hope he recovers
Harry Anderson was great as an entertainer/magician.
You earned your like and subscribe
Definitely great trick should look into shin lim too
heres the original video since its not in the description! th-cam.com/video/-XoCvn4fnXw/w-d-xo.html
Wow
cheers
Is there a weight inside those 2 wooden sticks connected to the string? When u tilt them up...the weight drops down and the string comes up?
I think so, too.
The premise for Wild Card here is more Tommy Wonder's than it is Hannibal's. Nothing wrong with that, I suspect it's the same handling too.

The wild card trick from Hannibal wasn’t only good performt… the force was insane…
We see where your inspiration comes from
Daily uploads are INSANELY hard my man! I admire your hard work so much thank you so much for the wonderful bedtime content! KEEP IT UP!
Nobody can beat you in a magic involving 'jack of doymend'.
This was really cool! Check out James Kenyon. He's a street magician too.
That right there is just a children’s trick:
Me: 😳😶😯😮
Hannibal’s cups and balls made me want to learn magic again as an adult
I'm gonna ride the magic of Jason for all 365, my daily supplement. A man from Australia has taken up residence in my brain. as the Beatles say " A Day iN a Life". "I WOKE UP, GOT OUT OF BED DRAGGED A COMB ACROSS MY HEAD" I just check jason's vlog!

And now we know why he does corporate gigs. #tooeasy #worthit :)
I got one for you to review.....
NEIL PATRICK HARRIS...
😮😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
I think I know how the beginning trick was done but it’s still so good
Is there a weight inside of the stick that pulls the string back when you lift one end of it ..🤓
Yes…Typically when this trick is done you not supposed to tilt the sticks so much, as that’s a dead giveaway that there’s a weight attached to the string.
Ok ok. I went on a small Hannibal binge yesterday, but I'll watch all videos now. If you insist.
