My biggest issue with days of ruin is how damn long you have to go through the story before you get to even use a CO/CO power. Up intill that point youre just fighting with 100/100 units on each side with no differences.
Yoshito Sekigawa is such an under-appreciated composer who really is a musical genius. How he goes from catchy, pop themed stuff to straight up, crunchy, metal guitar laden goodness like this is testament to how talented of a man he truly is. Folks, I truly hope when this game gets the Switch remake treatment alongside Advance Wars Dual Strike, that we throw our money at it and support it. Trust me, it's gonna happen, I am manifesting that shit in my mind. No ifs, ands or buts about it. I have a hunch they are next on the block.
@@blossom357 I hope the sequel has an upgrade system, meaning you can invest money to give certain unit types buffs in your army, for example, if you realise you will be fighting with a lot of infantry, you'd want your infantry upgraded see it as a sort of research tree for each individual unit, but also keep in mind that this simplifies the unit roster, meaning mech and infantry are one, but the mech is the anti-tank upgrade version, likewise tank to medium tank is the armor upgrade. which means as the battle continues, players can strategically invest into improving their units for the rest of the battle, a sort of long game vs more units investment
Indeed, that crunchy, guitar loaded goodness is just amazing and fitting for an epic battle, the synth horn section in the middle puts it straight over the top. I forgot how good this soundtrack was and is until they announced Advance Wars Re-boot Camp on the Switch. I have a hunch they will be doing the same thing for Dual Strike and Days of Ruin, remaking them and bundling them together on one cart. Yoshito Sekigawa (nee Hirano) is an incredible composer who is very under-appreciated, I truly hope when the time comes for Days of Ruin to get the remake treatment, that they bring the original, uncompressed, soundtrack over and even offer a bundle that includes it.
'' CO Power?! Who needs a CO power with this kind of impeccable drip and this killer soundtrack! '' *Captain Brenner - Brenners Wolves, 12th Rubinelle battalion.*
This is probably as close to the original uncompressed/downsampled audio as anyone will ever get, and it sounds awesome. Thanks for posting this! Any chance at a download link for this song?
Wow ! It sounds like the closest we'll get to the original soundtacks, thank you for doing this ! Also, could you enhance the "Sunrise" soundtrack of Days of Ruin ?
Actually that was the first theme I tried to remaster. but due to the intro being very short and 75% is a looping melody I decided against uploading it.
I have a feeling Days of Ruin and Dual Strike will get a remake akin to Re-boot Camp. When it does, they will most likely release the uncompressed version of the soundtracks.
like i said earlier GOD BLESS YOUR SOUL. im here to personally beg you finish the CO's theme at least please and one personal request from the actual soundtrack theres a song called Decadence. Decadence if you can along with the remaining CO themes PLEASE and thank you so much. to hear this music in such high quality brings a tear to my eyes, AW was a big part of my childhood DR being the cherry on top
The only CO we used that never gets a chance to use his power.
in PvP his co power is one of the best. Not to mention day to day extreme Defenses on all units over 5-range area.
His COP is compassion.

The big damn hero of Days of Ruin, and he gets the most rockin' soundtrack.

Or here's a crazy idea... how about stop buying lazy remakes and instead ask for the sequels that we deserve?
@@blossom357 reboot camp was anything but lazy lol. 2 games in one with hand drawn graphics for the COs and completely remastered sound track
@@wessac1627 a pity the in-game graphics is shit

Is it weird that I can definitely imagine a tank rolling along in the background when I listen to this music?
The best CO theme for Days of Ruin
don't forget Lin's theme, which had the magic ability of automatically making you a better player 😂
Such a bold claim about a game filled with amazing music.
Honestly, I think Gage either ties with him or beats him. This still slaps though.

Instant like for the amazing work! You can really appreciate how *heavy* his theme is with such clear definition, it absolutely rocks you.

My headcannon is that Brenner is an older, seasoned, Andy.
I actually think he’s Jake, because their themes sound similar
0:19 best part in my opinion
That part always sounded so somber IMO. It would foreshadow his heroic sacrifice.
