I said this 2 months ago. He cant blow by his man anymore. He lost a half step. He often dribbles the ball around ends up jacking up a contested shot but because hes tall and he has a nice jumper he gets away with it sometimes. When he plays against elite defense it often times doesnt work. Had a few PG fanbois arguing with me.

Paul George is at his best when he can get to the rim consistently and shoot based on his driving threat. It’s that simple, he can’t just shoot contested jumpers all the time. Such a simple thing that you think you wouldn’t have to say but yeah, I’d say it comes down to his explosiveness like you said. Can’t consistently get by people, and can’t jump up at the rim. He might feel as if tough shots are sometimes the only shot he CAN take/make.

False Paul George is simply a choker ever since his last years in Indiana he does the same sh*t every year. I noticed the patterns ever since that sh*t he pulled in okc. He may have good games here and there but when it matters most he will always lose at the end of the day by disappearing and never taking charge. He isn’t a reliable 1st or second option We got to come to terms with certain players Paul George James harden Joel embiid etc. are not players you can win with no matter what role you give them or what players you pair them with. Year by year they always find a way to sabotage their team. Now Paul George isn’t the worse thing he just been exposed as the fraudulent player he is. But kawhi Leonard should really and I mean really retire.

That being said, it was clear Kawhi and PG were a bad fit together. They have same play style but both are lousy passers.
Clippers traded everything for them and that made it extremely difficult for them to sign elite passers, or a great big man.
