First off, with a name like "Leonardo" you have the pressure of having to measure up artistically. I think that you do wonderfully! Second, I love the easy to follow instruction and demonstrations which I can use immediately. And third, you have the coolest accent EVER!
I did well, even taught art at 2 colleges. I later broke my neck and now have to start from square 1 again, learning how much pressure to use, controlling the pencil, etc. now that my nerves feel differently than before, building new neural paths. TY for the inspiration, it's kind of frightening facing a white sheet again (it's been a while). Your art is outstanding.
I watched a couple of your videos and immediately knew you were a great instructor but, I literally started to cry from joy when I found that you had a video for shading. I've been having problems with shading for a very long time and this video has helped me so much. Thank you from the very bottom of my heart :)
I really enjoy your step-by-step tutorials. They are very clear, full of simple techniques that are easy to follow. I appreciate all the work you are doing in bringing your tutorials to the public so that beginners like me have a chance to learn the how-tos and whys of drawing and painting. Thank you so much for making these available to the public for a very affordable price😊!
I've got to be honest, normally when I can't hardly understand someone speaking, I'll skip right over them and move on to someone I can understand (Midwest American here) but with you, you're so funny and animated, your tutorial was easy to follow and I found myself WANTING to strain to understand what you were saying. This was really helpful! Thanks for making this video. I've been struggling for years, trying to figure out shading. I am a book learner artist ... Aka, I have to study to draw, I wasn't just born with the gift, so it's taken me many many years just to be able to figure the basics out. It's not as easy as history, or things like that, in my opinion. It takes a lot more practice than memorization in my opinion.
This may be 4 yrs ago but I just found your videos and really love them, Ive been an artist for many yrs but you can learn from other perspectives- thank you!! :)
Thank you so very much for these lessons in shading. I have hit a stalemate in my drawings because my lack of shading and now because of you, I can reach a new level in my drawing skills. Please keep making more videos, they are spectacular.
I am not a novice artist, but I noticed that whenever i would draw objects and shadows, i couldn't fully understand the curving light technique. Once I watched this video, my shading has improved so much!!! Now my drawings look more real and have perspective :D thanks a bunch keep making videos!!!
I stumbled upon this. Pure gold!! Was looking for other things but i'll be practicing drawing too, so this will be very helpful. Will check the materials next
Hello and thank you for your suggestion and your interest. My book on drawing the figure is actually only in eBook form. I can not give you al ink here, but if you look in my website: FineArtEbooks you will be able to find it (or on my FB page). Best regards, L
I am so impressed with what you do and how you explain it that I will be using it teach my daughter today we work on shadows. She got it easily because of you. Thanks!

Silverbolt AJ Fibd a point where you want a light source, and pretend it’s shining from that only. The shade where you think the light wouldn’t get to. Even if you are worn as long as it’s consistent it’s ok
Sometimes if you keep your pencil on a 30 degree angle and shade closely, the pencil will give off a dirty sort of look and when you smudge it, it will look amazing!
There were some dark spots left from the graphite. Sometimes that happens because of the irregularity of the paper or because one presses differently or the lead is not at its best point... If you look at the drawing there were some darker spots, which I cleaned up with the eraser.
i think this is amazing thank you so much i need to watch more of your videos this has really helped me to improve my art work work. thank you and i love the accent.
I felt 12 times as sophisticated after watching this video...... I'm going to have a spot of tea now.
i spilt the tea on my self and it really burnt, but tasted nice
I love how you remember that from a year ago
kind of hard not to since i keep getting notified about it
ok

There's no wrong way to draw a stick figure, but I totally get what you're feeling. I can't tell the difference between my shadow and my cube.
