Flagpole Sitta was huge in Australia around this time. They even played it on my work’s instore radio system. I haven’t seen Not Another Teen Movie but I believe the whipped cream scene was spoofing Varsity Blues.

Also, if you haven't seen Freeway with Kiefer Sutherland and Reese Witherspoon, that's a truly twisted (yet hilarious) film that has a sequel which stars Natasha Lyonne. Both totally wild.

I am literally the same age as the actors... this is about class of 99 (Which I was) and I feel with EVERY MOVIE/EVERY STEP of the story through 4 movies... my life happened the exact same way... perfect timing for each movie.. that's all I can say!! Each movie.. each step in this franchise.. is ACCURATE... AND PERFECT!!
I was like John i never saw these growing up but i heard all the references. I watched them a couple years ago and was so surprised at how heartfelt they actually were. They balance the comedy perfectly.

I'm glad you guys got to see finally see this film. I'm sorry you didn't get the chance when you were growing up. I was in high school when this franchise started, so I'm very sentimental on it. I hope you guys watch the rest of these movies. It's one of the few comedy franchises that remains consistently funny. Aside from the raunchy humor, the things that really make it work are the relatable characters and it has a lot of heart, at least with the theatrical movies. It's about 20 minutes from my home. I can't say a lot of this stuff is true. However I can say they are on par with west Michigan house parties and restaurant work. . . .
