100% - only having generic costs means that there will come a point where even with a high commander tax you might end up not paying anything to recast Urtet from the command zone.
So Ive built out my myr deck and honestly just stuck to copy plays and deck diving. Prototype portals sculpting steel is a good cbo to start mass producing things like galvanizer or battlesphere
I do like this list a lot but i'm not a fan of the artifact reducers in this specific deck. The deck already lends itself to empty its hand very aggressively i think the deck is better suited to playing more card draw effects to replace the artifact mana reducers. I'm also in the camp of crypolite rite effects being a flavor win making our myr tokens tap for mana and very powerful. But this is the best list online bar none.
Oh, definitely. The reason I don't have as many card advantage pieces is because of Jegantha as the companion, so you can't run things like Vedalken Archmage, The Great Henge, etc. That being said, you can definitely put Jegantha in the 99 along with things like Cryptolith Rite, Vedalken Archmage, The Great Henge, etc. in order to have more mana abilities and thus make the most of Urtet that way. The reason I went the route I went with is because I wanted as much speed and consistency as I could get to hit as hard as possible, as often as possible, and as quickly as possible. Having access to Jegantha as a companion means not having to worry about mana dork myr or other land-based sources of mana fixing to activate Urtet. Granted, Jegantha isn't immune to removal but hopefully you get some use before that happens. By then, you should get your mana-fixing set up, at least. Thanks! It means a lot that you like my build more than anyone else's 😅
Howdy! I felt like they took up too much room. The deck already has plenty of myr, no need to have clunky and high-costed ways of creating myr tokens. You could definitely add them though.
@@TheCommanderTavern Yeah , doesnt have the token doublers except Anointed Procession, so i have a bit room for them. Okay next question, Myr Reservoir seems nice for recursion and also have ramp, why u decided against it ? Thx for the answer :)
@@marcm.3666 It's not that I decided against it, but there are *very* few myr worth recovering (plus I was already running Myr Retriever). Also, the mana production, while good, isn't as good as simply reducing the costs of all myr. That tapping for 2 only happens once. But if my myr cost 2 less to play, I can get way more mileage from it.
I can definitely see that happening. But so many other commanders are one half of a 2-card infinite combo that I don't really see it happening. Also, a myr commander was something casuals have been clamoring for quite some time so I doubt it's getting banned anytime soon. Do be prepared to see a lot of it though since tribal is the most popular archetype in casual EDH.
I've seen a dozen videos on this commander, and this is by far my favorite
Thank you so much! That means a lot! :)
I love that this Myr commander is 5 colors! Cost reduction effects are definitely going to provide a lot of value in this deck

Nice! I always love seeing decks chocked full of copy effects.
Taurean Mauler seems to be a must-play for this commander.
You can definitely run it if you wanted to. The only downside to it is not having trample or any kind of evasion.

I have myr deck. I put enduring vitality, birds of paradise, gemhide sliver, mirror entity, kiki jiki, village bell ringer. Infinitr combos
Nice! 5-colored definitely allows for that >:D
Hi there, looks like a fine deck but why no Myr Matrix and Myr Turbine ?
greetings
Howdy!

Thx for the answers :) keep up the good work.

Whera myr matrix?
You could run it if you wanted to.
Tbh this card might break the whole format by itself considering almost 30-50 cards can make infinite/instant winning combos with it

@@TheCommanderTavern yeah it'll probably just end up being a very versatile card. But anyways im on my way to buy a Paradox Engine 🤣
@@papoutapexlegends9444 Paradox Engine did nothing wrong 🤣
@@TheCommanderTavern i just got Urtet, so that's why, I'm almost finished building the deck already
@@papoutapexlegends9444 Nice! Hope it turns out spicy!
