I think her response was very fair she said she is currently processing everything in real time. Things dont just unravel all at once in your mind sometimes things slowly unravel and you dont realize until many years later that its messed up. Shes a huge star of course shes not gonna pour her heart out with every raw feeling on a freaking podcast. It was clear she didn't think it was all fine and dandy. She's human she doesn't have to unwrap everything for an audience she can do it on her own time and as privately as she chooses

While I agree with you, she was also saying everything Dan brought up during that god awful "interview" conveniently posted on his page. Having a therapist for the kids is moronic and brings a whole host of new issues such as who hired the therapist and the therapist possibly using what they say against them. If she's still processing she could have just said that and left it alone. Instead she just agreed with Dan and skates around any accountability, which is actually hurting the victims.

she cant be nervous? She literally said she felt pressured by the environment to be funny and push the envelope which led to the clips. People love hating on women and it shows. She doesn’t speak about it and gets shit on, she speaks about it and gets shit on because “it’s not enough”. Throughout the whole podcast, which i doubt people that hate her watched it, she said she’s still trying to grasp what happened to her and she’s in therapy dealing and remembering her past traumas. She is still not 100% ready and it’s ok, she’s the victim and she has all the time in the world to understand and cope with what happened to her.

She may not have the right words to describe how she feels about it yet, and seems to be trying to talk about it and trying to find the right words that she doesn’t think will offend anyone..
Like she’s never gonna make everyone happy & satisfied, some people will get it and others won’t no matter what she says
I can totally see her being afraid of confrontation and trying to find the right words that will explain it to an extent (doesn’t condone it, sees everyone’s individual experiences as valid etc) & get the least amount of backlash
Idk, this is just my opinion
And I feel like everyone gets hated on at some point, but I feel like it’s more to do with the focus of the backlash to women is different than the type men typically get. Those are all social constructs and it takes a society to change the social structure for the better
*(like one toxic behavior towards boys/men- that they need to be strong and shouldn’t cry or be emotional, and that if they do they’ll be perceived as weak.. that just gives them so many issues throughout life by suppressing all of that, avoiding it to prevent being perceived that way.
Imo emotional intelligence is an attractive quality. But it’s not always men/dads pushing that construct.. there are also women who were taught this will say to their bf’s when they’re emo that they’re being a pussy or they should ‘man up’ or are ‘acting like a woman’)
Idk, gender stereotypes & social constructs are really messed up. There have been studies done on classes that are not gender focused and teach the kids they are capable of the same things/opportunities. They said boys and girls have the same bodies and strength and physical capabilities until 8yo when most boys start to become physically stronger and taller (when puberty starts to produce hormones for growth etc) and more STEM career paths are often taught to boys over girls- like spacial awareness w blocks, puzzles like practical applications of math+
Luckily there are now more women pursuing STEM schooling & jobs..
Wasn’t that long ago historically where our society didn’t think women were capable of such things as deeper thoughts, engineering, math etc and were perceived as less intelligent.. weren’t even allowed to vote until after black men got the right to..
I believe it’s our differences that make us who we are and valuable when we embrace them.. everyone has strengths and weaknesses, we should be building each other up by our strengths and not tearing each other down over weaknesses. It’s good to find/have people in our lives who compliment or balance each other out skill wise, teach each other etc
Women were perceived as less intelligent in the societies where they weren’t allowed to go to school.. like they have always had the capacity to learn just as much when given the opportunity
we need healthy role models to teach & model behaviors like respect, equality etc. to break toxic gender stereotypes and contribute collectively to evolve as a society where we are all seen as equal (based on gender, tho there are also many other types of social constructs people are judged on that need to change, race & class being among them)
Sorry this is so long, If anyone got to this point- peace ✌🏼 ✌🏼

I know this is an optimistic view but obviously us as adults need to do better, so many weirdos are attracted to situations like this because of the unsupervised access to children. Anyone on that set could be there for inappropriate reasons… the set guys, therapist, handlers, CEO’s, producers… anyone who has an interest in children could use their position to hurt these kids. And then there are the adults that choose to stay silent for their own personal gain. There is no easy fix, there should be more check points to keep kids safe but it will never be safe until adults take more responsibility for their actions. Even Liz from victorious fell victim to grooming.

  • @destinytheshorty2086

When she speaks about the adults manipulation towards the kids when it came to "cool edgy jokes" it really speaks volumes. Kids were put into an carrer where they do anything adults tell them to have a successful job. Their veiws on awful jokes back then was preordained by gross adults telling them they did a good job. In Zoey 101 they made a lot of feet "jokes" and even made one character obsessed with boys for no reason.

@@lindyloohoo BECAUSE YALL ARE SLOW THATS WERE TYPING LIKE THIS. She just replied to a comment today saying she intentionally talks like that and always has due to vocal training. She had to talk like that for 2 years straight because of her role in the movie. Like what part of that don’t y’all understand?
