I gotta chime in, I got this a few years ago and it's been to hell and back in my rig. Offroad, 120ºF heat, sub zero temps, forgetting it for months, etc. It's an absolute beast and still functions. It can leak a little if you fill it with water, I mean like, if you leave ice in it to melt. But then it still works. So yeah, not bad!
We bought because I was very tired of water logged food, especially fresh veggies. We got it in 2020 when we bought a teardrop camper....we have since upgraded to a small camper with a built in, very small fridge (3.5 cu ft). Keeping this....believe me, it's just amazing! It's really a fantastic unit! It's just two of us and it's always held what we needed to go and it's about to become part of our camper when we hit the road in retirement!

The device is really compact
Coolness doesn't transfer over to the other warmer section.
That would violate one the fundamental laws of Thermodynamics.
It is the heat in the larger section that flows to the smaller cooler section heating that up.
The fridge cooling coil operates in the same way by removing the heat in the fridge and transferring it to the outside environment.
But we all know what you mean - I am just being fundamentally "picky" and remembering my Chemistry Lectures
