Since it never played on any of the main channels here in Britain, and since I didn't get cable till 2003, all I ever saw of this was the three movies on vhs. Then managed to catch a repeat of one episode on our version of the sci fi channel when house sitting for someone in 2001. And then I got the Dvd in 2020. I waited nigh on 30 years to watch all of this. And I loved it! More so than the cw version, which lost its way for me from season two onwards. It does take about a third of run to find it's feet - initially the network wouldn't let them use costumed villains so he is just fighting ordinary crooks - but from the episode ghost in the machine on it really clicks. Even more so in the last third when they make Barry and Tina a crime fighting partnership. Comic book action with stories complete in one episode. I don't think it's bad at all. I think it's a great show and it still stands up well. And nobody says 'we'll get/stop him. I promise.' What's there not to love?
10 years later, Sci-fi channel used the same template to make Invisible Man tv show. A good-looking powered hero, a British girl scientist helper and a quirky sidekick helping him. Still loved this show. :)

My only issue with Iris from the CW Flash is that they never give her anything interesting to do. My first Flash 👏🏼👏🏼
Yo I finished watching the 90s series just yesterday! What a coincidence!
I'm still waiting for the Clone Wars honest trailer...
Please say "Shut your eyes, Marion. Don't look at it, no matter what happens!"
3:33 : easy, social media wasn't a thing then.
I knew I recognized John Wesely Shipp, the first thing I ever saw him in was The Neverending Story Part II. To know that he was once The Flash is just wow!
Okay, you did 90s Flash. Now please do Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman
Batman TAS gave us Elfman's reworked Flash theme song, Hamil's reworked Trixter, and an updated reworked Prank. Still, I don't think anyone would argue that Batman TAS did it better.
My only issue with Iris from the CW Flash is that they never give her anything interesting to do. Her agency is constantly taken away by her future being known and set in stone, or the writers have otherwise imprisoned her in one plot arc or another.
And don't even get me started on the Dr. Snow/Killer Frost fiasco.
Yeah Eric Wallace ruined this show through and through.
I can pinpoint the moment I started hating the CW Iris, "we are the Flash"
honestly? one thing i can give eric wallace credit is that he made iris a lot more likable starting from season 6 onwards. or maybe its just i hate chester, allegra and cecile a lot more
@@thomaspanditfan2435 Season Six saw some improvements, but it was a one step forward, two steps to the side.
I stopped watching the show after what they did to Grodd
Oh man, Mark Hamill AND Police Academy 4's Corinne Bohrer?!? HOW DID I MISS THIS
This show was awesome. I don't care what nobody says. Very underrated.👍
"He'll brainwash the Flash into becoming Ezra Miller." - welp, you got me again, guys 😂
Kids today don't understand how cool this show was back then.
45:11 The lovely Gloria Ruben from Timecop and Mr. Robot, too!
Fantastic job on this trailer! Very cool! Nice to see Dr Frost in the 90s series since I’m a Snowbarry shipper! Very interesting to learn about these wild Nineties shows, I missed. I was only two years old when this was on TV. Definitely going to look it up soon!
5:48 yes and no. Harley Quinn was more inspired by Arleen Sorkin in a Days of Our Lives episode, but I can definitely see where where Trickster and Prank are proto-Joker and Harley
