Awkward moment between Perk and Austin, with Perk calling out the firing of Adrian Griffin 😂😂😂

When the Bucks had Dame and Giannas at the end of the season and still losing games. They NEVER had Austin talk during Bucks segments
DARVIN HAM GOT FIRED BECAUSE HE BENCHED JEANNIE BUSS' "BOY TOY" AUSTIN REAVES
They don’t know what they’re talking about. That starting lineup that Ham finally figured out in February, was an OBVIOUS starting lineup from the beginning
The lineup was the reason they lost back in 2020 when they won the title AD played the 4 and lebron played point and they had a center like Dwight Howard and McGee to help stop Jokic but every coach since then refused to let AD go back to the 4 lakers were better when they had a real center next to AD and lebron to help grab more offensive rebounds more rebounds mean more chances to score and lakers were first in offensive rebounds the year they won
Clearly no one on this panel actually watched Laker games this season. This man started Prince and Reddish for 50 games

It's performance. He's trying to copy Barkley
@joshlittle1579 it's not hatred. It's honesty. You can't have it both ways. You'll Bron fans wild. If Bron loses yall point blame everywhere but to Bron. Not saying that it's entirely Brons faults but it dam sure can't be entirely Davins fault. As we know the firing and hiring has to be discussed with Bron. So he signed off on that. And that is giving him way too much power over the team situation with no accountability when they lose. Aaron Gordon look like a Charles Barkley with all those backdoor cuts and dunks. Bron not playing Defense is a real problem yall need to address.
Let’s not get it twisted, this isn’t all on Ham, but the fans who don’t JUST watch primetime games, but watch EVERY game from start to finish from October to season end knows Ham had to go. Very questionable decisions for 2 seasons. This years starting lineup change is a perfect example. Took him more than half the year to realize having respectable shooters in the lineup instead of duds would help. And that only happened because Cam and Vando got hurt forcing his hands.
Yeah shut up yall next year are gonna scapegoat the next coach
Exactly. It’s not all on him but he made plenty of mistakes. Biggest one was not starting or playing rui big minutes early in the season. All the advance stats were screaming that rui should get more minutes and by the time he made the change the team was nearly at the bottom of west standings. That stretch of starting prince and cam killed this team. There’s no way this team should’ve be in the play in with Lebron and Ad playing the amount of games they played AND performing.
I am not going to sweet talk about him at all. Darvin Ham is a stubborn knuckle head that makes predictable bad decision all the time. The dude has no vision seeing potentials in players, he has no clue how to match up his players against other teams, and he doesn't have a flexible rotation to take advantage of the momentum in game.

If you actually watched the Lakers all season, ANY other coach is better than Ham. Lakers should've kept Vogel
Vogel definitely should never have been fired; however, Ham had a devastatingly bad roster to fit with Lebron. GM pulls the strings. They never could compete with Denver these past two years, much less in the future. Sheer stupidity to fire him for a completely flawed roster. And Perk actually has the best take this segment.
That locker room literally tuned Vogel out after the championship.
Its partly Hams fault why the teams trash not ALL of it

With Ham Lakers are a play-in team. We talking "Whew... thank god we made it to the playoffs." With AD playing most of the games and Bron... You should be at least a 5th seed. You should have ducked that fade with the Nuggets with that obvious matchup history, guess who you gonna most likely play if youre a play-in team?
The man took them to the WCF first year. Lost to the champs. Won the inseason tournament this year and steered an unsettled roster. Still got them a solid seed only to lose to the defending champs. I don't see how any other "coach" was going to do better. The players failed to finish 4/5 games vs the defending champs. Maybe it's the players who failed.
He never adjusted in late game situations. He doesn’t have a voice in the locker room. His timeout management was poor. Average coach all around. Only reason they went to the WCF was because the opponents they faced! Same for the in season tournament.
No the team won these despite him 😂 If you watched the games you would see his rotations were garbage, he will be good one day, but the Lakers need a veteran Head Coach
Ppl like u just not watch the games, he isn’t great at adjustments , in game adjustments, roster lineups , and play calling. Along w not using his timeouts during other teams runs. Darvin scam was not a good coach. He was a mediocre coach, that had 2 of the top 10 players in the league . He’s been out coached in the playoffs two years straight.
@@valerievilla5862PREACH! I swear people say nonsense like this just to get early YT comment likes 😂
His coaching style wasn't IT. He preferred to double Joker and leave Porter and KCP open for three point shots. Unacceptable!
How about mark Jackson as a coach you guys been crying for him to be a coach
I Like Bron but I'm getting tired of him. He's always trading good pieces away and getting coaches fired. Bron thinks he knows it all but it doesn't matter who they bring in next as the Lakers aren't good enough. Darvin Ham wasn't getting outcoached in that Denver series. They were all close games and simply Bron and AD failed to close while Jamal Murray did. People can say his rotations questionable but yet players can't be healthy and the team just isn't good outside Bron and AD. The Lakers are let Lebron hijack that franchise. Prob the real reason Magic left because he can't deal with Lebron.
“darvin ham wasn’t getting outcoached” 😂😂😂 so why was he still running 3 guard lineups when it clearly didn’t work last year ? why did he continue to put rui on jokic when he was torching him ? he made NO adjustments
Darvin ham wasn’t getting out coached ? How do u lead for 75% of a series and win one game out of 5 ? How does ur coaching just go non existent in each 3rd quarter ? Yet u sit here and somehow find a way to blame bron
Game 2. Lebron missed a open 3 and Jamal Murray hit the game winner. Game 5. AD and Bron told the coach to challenge that foul call on AD on Jokic which lakers won the challenge but lost the time out when Ham was trying to save his timeout for Later on in the game. AD then reverted back to his old self when he got hurt when Gordan bumped into him so now it’s all on Bron to show up now. Then Bron failed to Box out Gordon a crucial play to help Denver out. Then when you need your star player to close Lebron giving the ball to Austin Reeves when the last few minutes shoulda been Bron taking them shots. Murray closed that game out to send the Lakers home. Bron and AD closed game 4 that’s it. It’s easy to blame the coach but when it’s clutch time and your star players can’t close that’s on the players but the coach is the scapegoat yet again. People favorite excuse for Lebron is that he’s 39 but if age is a factor then he should retire.
Lebron needs 2 improve his game
@@zyxtrr easy to talk when you don't know what's going on behind the curtain. you don't know if a player is tired or not, or did they sustain some minor injury that the coach is trying not to aggravate.
Poor coach Ham, he is just another of the "scapegoats" for every Lakers loss, same with coach Vogel, once you become a Lakers coach, expect that:

Very well said Perk, but I wonder if it's an indirect hit to someone, because We observant basketball fans know Ham is not the reason why Laker's got eliminated, but some un-coachable self entitled DIVA who is WITHOUT CHARACTER who is STILL playing in the NBA.
Instead of firing Ham, why not have a team check and not just blame the coach and players but also held some "untouchable" accountable? There's an individual which I will not name, but everyone knows this hard core narcissist who happens to also be:
1. Chronic flopper.
2. Chronic whiner and complainer (jumps up and down like a kid when not getting the calls he wanted)
3. Blames others for every failure. (even the officials that favor him, are blamed)
4. Takes all credit for success, but shuns accountability when loosing ("It's just basketball, right?")
5. Takes PED's. (Balco in particular) - but are not getting checked. He's untouchable.
6. Locker room cancer.
7. Scared to play defense. (using his full energy only in offense, let teammates do the "dirty work" (i.e defense")
8. Stat padder. (shooting even at garbage time for the sake of chasing the "scoring" records).
9. Has the ball 97% of the time and demands "plays" revolve around him, thus killing sound ball movement and efficiency.
10. Guilty of un-sportsmanship (always exiting to the dugout, without shaking hands when getting blown out).
11. Chokes and collapse mentally on pressure packed situation, can't handle adversity.
12. Acts as GM and coach, decides on who to fire, decides on who's on the roster, and if It does not work out - Blame and fire them All, except me (the acting GM). or else I leave the team if you don't give what I demand!
13. Had some narcissistic or megalomania tendencies, always referring to himself as King and self proclaiming himself as "the GOAT", "the Chosen1" and "the best player in the world" on numerous occasions.
And many other not so pleasant acts, attitudes and proclivities. Characteristics that many just blindly dismissed for the sake of narratives just to protect this "untouchable", who is the REAL cause of the Lakers downfall, removing toxicity and drama is the key to Lakers success.

Anyone saying Ham shouldn't be blamed, for what happened hasn't been playing close attention to the Xs and Os in this series. The team was good enough to have large leads in every game of the Denver series, they got outcoached by Mike Malone. Those leads were lost because Ham let them by not calling timeouts, by not making adjustments at crucial moments to stave off the Denver run. Yes players have to play, and D'lo and others had trash games, but even in those trash games, they had a chance to win but didn't because Ham wouldn't make adjustments.

@@Scotty2Hotty4 He won more games this season than he did the last you can’t say he didn’t make any adjustments. He was also dealing with injuries all through the season that limited his choices. The Lakers should be interested in hiring these coaches old school coaches like Coach K, Roy Williams, Larry Brown, Jim Boeheim, Jay Wright, Phil Jackson,Mike Budenholzer, Mark Jackson, Adrian Griffin, Dewayne Casey, Sam Mitchell, Terry Porter, Monty Williams, Penny Hardaway......
You all trying to use Ham for a scapegoat for his “rotations” so who was the man supposed to send on the floor?
and on the next episode of LeScapegoat..
Why is anyone surprised? History has shown that Lebron does not last very long with any of his coaches. Two slight exceptions were Mike Brown and Erik Spoelstra and with Coach Spoelstra, it's public knowledge that Lebron advocated for him to be fired but Pat Riley refused. Lebron has never shown any interest in being coached under an experienced coach. And blaming roster construction? Lebron has always had the loudest, most influential voice on roster compilation in each franchise he's played for. So after so many "failed" coaches and "failed" roster constructions, when do we start evaluating the common denominator in all these situations?
Why would anyone want that job? No accountability for players or front office. All blame on the coach. I’m a Laker fan but this is ridiculous
Not one of them acknowledged the fact that Ham played around all year with lineups and finally started winning when he used the lineup that got the to Conference Finals. How you lack the basic mental capacity, to use your best lineup, is beyond me. And his inability to handle Denver adjustment and late game clock/timeout/challenges, with any sense of proficiency, is why he’s gone.
The fact that your coach needs until february to figure out what works is one of the reason he gets axed
This is why KD said the environment playing with LeBron is toxic. No matter how LeBron plays you know he's going to get all the credit if they win, but none of the blame if they lose. No matter who's on the roster. Even though he's hand picked his team and has always had talent/great players around him.
The people who wanted Ham to keep his job are the same people who didn’t watch the Lakers play throughout the season.
Missed timeouts, questionable rotations, deflecting responsibility and blame (when he was to blame), and not leading his team are all things that us Lakers fans witnessed for two seasons. We’re firing Ham because we can be better! Denver is not a team we shouldn’t be able to beat. This year especially showed that. We had their number, but missed timeout calls, a lack of challenges, and questionable rotations directly contributed to our loss most noticeably in games 2 and 5.
Time to go Ham. Not a leader, not a Laker.
National media didn't even know why Ham was fired! Ham was not the sole reason for the Lakers losing but if you look at how he handled the team this year, his schemes, his lineup rotations, his starting lineups he should really get the blame and get fired for it!
If you watched every game this season you would see little things rotations that didn’t make sense bad substitutions darvin stuck with players that were struggling not calling time outs or challenges that being said we should of got another big man and some roster moves weren’t good and we didn’t play good enough.
Them saying if the lakers never matched with the nuggets would they be having a different conversation, that’s the whole point! This man started bron, Prince reddish vando and AD with DLo and AR off the bench, he had rui playing 10 minutes a game and not once went to the starting lineup we had so much success with last year
AYYEEOOO!! Kendrick Lamar - 6:16 IN LA (Drake/DJ Akademiks Diss) - th-cam.com/video/ZF0qnEKnU_Y/w-d-xo.html
Tye Lue may be available next season. I think he is tired of weak leadership in Kawhi and PG
Three coaches fired in five years. The next one? Whomever it is, it's gonna be quit.
Clippers: we love Ty lue, despite not winning ANYTHING. Lakers: get outta here HAM!, despite WCF last year, and winning in season tournament this year.
None of these players have earned the right to dictate anything in Los Angeles. None of them have brought the city a championship.
the problem lies not only about coaching but also the roster setup. As regards the coach, it is clear that Ham does not know how to effectively rotate the roster given the limited players he has due to injuries. As for the roster, the team manager is partly to blame for he knew that the formula for beating the nuggets is to have tall and strong guys to guard Jokic just like what the Lakers did when they won the title in 2020. Instead of retaining the team, he disbanded it and chose to trade for someone who has lost his basketball skills.
Lebron having to play off flagging his coach off is wild
