People like this are common (not to this extreme) they will do the most for you even after first meeting. My friend is just like that. When we first meant she bought us best friend bracelets and they were quite expensive. And she was also kinda jealous of my other friends but I kinda put it beside me until she started bad mouthing them and I just talked to her to set boundaries because I know she didn’t have any friends and I didn’t wanna drop are friendship. But now she’s cool and she’s still a little off with my other friends but she’s trying.

I also find that this is often the case with people who are neurodivergent because it can be very difficult for them to understand or pick up on certain social cues that may seem obvious to most neurotypical people.
