I usually don't like songs like this, I'm all into pop or alternative rock but then, Taeyeon sings.. she can express every emotions in a certain song with her soft but powerful voice very well. she is feeling the song but she can also make everyone feel the song through her singing. It's pretty amazing how she can shift her voice in a second from high to low and from low to high. And this is just one of a thousand reasons why I love this kid leader

But my brother's wife, a classical singer of some renown...she has toured the world in that capacity. Asked to hear something! So I let her listen to Taeyeon's "Rain"! She was very very impressed with her vocals ability. Then she said, "Anything else? " "A lot I replied! A whole heck of alot!" Next I gave her "Secret!" And she began to dissect the singing, stating vocal range, voice control in various ranges, and in long and short tight syllables, she identified 5 variations in tone an pitch that showed her diversity and different types of vocals ranging from classical through pop...and more stuff than I actually can remember or talk about. My brother was a bit stunned! So she explained it to him in words he could understand! When it comes to singing, she is like a "Connor McDavid" (If you know hockey, you realize that many people think he is the Best, because he does things that just about seem not real, than no one else can even get close to doing) She listens to a lot of Taeyeon now!
unfortunately she didn't had desire being in solo.. she stated by herself in her past intv, she feel fulfilled being in GG. I think singing various OST is SM's way to let her beautiful voice to expand more :))

This has been recognized by people who are far more experienced than her. Of course, there are other singers better than her in term of techniques maybe even voice but I've never heard anyone sing like her. She's indeed one of a kind. There's a reason why she's one of the most sought after singers in Korea.

이런 노래 불렀었는지 몰랐다가 더 어릴 때 했던 '들리나요' 라이브 무대 보고 알고리즘 타서 왔는데 몇 년 사이에 노래가 엄청 더 늘어있다. 태연은 원래 타고난 것도 대단하지만 소시 메보라는 책임감 때문인지 계속 노력해서 실력 더 향상시키고 그걸 지금껏 유지중인 것 같음.

천만다행이다... 이런 개띵곡 라이브가 훌륭한 해상도로 살아있어서... 도대체 몇번 보러오는지 모르겠다. 보컬은 말할것도 없고, 표정연기도 너무 완벽해서 눈마저 즐겁다. 심지어 마지막에 마이크 떨구면서 짓는 섬세한 표정까지도 전부 아름답다.
태연 노래중에 가장 난이도 높은 곡이라고 생각함. 태연 특유의 말하듯이 부르는 느낌 없으면 누구도 이 노래 소화못할듯
