Thank you for this tutorial! I haven't used UE before, but these two first tutorials were a great introduction. Definitely diving in to your paid courses. :D Can't wait to apply these skills to my own projects.

Really fun and interesting course. I've started playing with MIDI in Unreal as well, and mixing in OSC adds so many other possibilities.
I modified my version slightly to also include the "Gravity" component from Zig Sim to get the orientation of the phone. Then I used the sign of that to change the direction of the swing based on how the user holds the phone. Now it will swing in either direction.
I also just picked up your lesson on Udemy, can't wait to see what else you come out with!

Very new to unreal and I would love to add in this functionality. Could you upload a video walking through it?

@@ready_set_go Sure! I haven’t touched the project in a bit, and I’m a little busy right now, but I’ll try to get something up. It’s pretty easy so I might even just make a short, or just comment here and explain it over text.

Finished.. Thanks~~ and is there anyway we can build this into an app and use it on the phone straight away?

That’s like asking can we put a internal combustion engine in a Tesla? Ahmm, yes, technically you could, but there’s no documentation or supported out of the factory. So you have to find other talented people to figure it out. Same situation here with your question.

@@YFJSR 😅 oh ok.. thanks anyways for the tutorials.. learned alot

Yeah, sorry can’t help. You’d have to reverse engineer the ZigSim app or ask the devs who made OSC apps! That’s about it.
