i love this program! Here is an introduction to 3D fractals, and a piece of software to explore them. Amazingly exotic fractal spaces can be explored using this easy software. I explain how to do it, and why it is worth while. Computer graphics revolutionized mathematics by revealing systems of extraordinary beauty and complexity (i.e., fractal geometry, chaos theory, cellular automata etc.). But its only recently that computers are becoming powerful enough for us to really experience moving around the extraordinary kinds of colored 3D landscapes that fractal geometry naturally provides.
I'm a huge fan of 3d fractals, and especially those of Mandelbulb. It's amazingly beautiful in so many ways. I've seen some incredible art produced with that program. It's also possible to 3d print some of the simplified shapes generated by this and other software like it.
I find mandelbulb 3d very intuitive. how long did it take you to realise there are extra menu options on navigator.(the down arrow to the right of 'lightness' and the arrow to the right of that). Took me a month..lol. Cant believe I missed them. they are really usefull.
I can't open m3p files (from the M3Parameter folder). I mean, I can, but it just keeps rendering the same fractal no matter what I open. Any tips? This is version 1.9.1 ... I had Mandelbulb3d up and running on a Mac (where it worked until it just didn't... now running it on a Windows 10 PC). I've been struggling to find a solution to this for months. I don't know where to turn. Thanks.
anyone have any idea why after i click "re-render all keyframe preview images" it just loads for a long time, i rendered a scene before and had no problems with it loading, but that had a low far plane, but i didn't increase it too much so i don't see why it's now loading like this.. i did however upgrade to windows 10 after i rendered the previous scene, maybe win10 is the reason?
HEY, maybe a stupid question but whats the purpose of this program? Was it created to aid certain people in their work, science, programing, digital sculpting,...? Or it it's only purpose of existence to let us toy around d with it and find crazy stuff?
Hi Im trying to make a hunge render in mandelbulb 3d about 4500 x 29000, mandelbulb says not enough memory, and asking in facebook the community recomend me the only way to get this render is make smaller parts as tiles and after stich eachother in Photoshop, but I try it in lower resolution, and i cant make tiles fit together, seems to be for the perspective in each reander is different what make sense, then , I need your help to know what way I can do it, what way to take the same scene in several tiles renders but make that all fit together perfectly.
i aint got the patience for Mandelbulb 3D with its CPU based rendering... I use fragmentarium, some what more limited in amount of fractals and maybe in quality, but about 20 times faster rending.
sonof hendrix wait what? This application renders on the CPU?! That's got to be one of the most idiotic things i heard in a long time... .__. Seriously one would think the creators of such software would change that... or is there some expensive licensing or anything needed when you try to get your stuff running ond GPUs (nvidia, amd, etc)
They only made this program for windows, you can get a "mirror" like program that allows you to download it on mac, or those various platforms that can convert it.. but it's a windows program.
I am very keen and downloaded it but it cannot be installed from the zip as it dissapears into google somewhere with no sign of an exe. In 2019 most info is out of date so if you get this please reply , theres no reply from the website as yet . thanks

I have an image displayed. I set the x and y coordinates. Now to make the video, where to click? I click on animation and nothing happens.

What a question.. Just pick up your macbook and start running.
