Wow love this song and especially with Joe playin the Sax live and Iva smokin , doesn't get any better. Joe looks cool in his white suit, black cap with the pink sax, awesome!!!!!
I haven't seen the Dortmund concert for years now however it reminds me of a gig I was at in Melbourne Palais/Palace theatre & I was right up front. Joe Camelleri was awesome and he played on couple of other songs like 'Sons' - just heaven. Also John Lloyd on drums was icing on the cake. Come on Iva another tour for 'ole time sake'
ledheadgreg I've seen this on the "Primitive Man 30th Anniversary Edition" album that comes with the DVD. The performance is titled "Live In Germany" :)
Saw these guys perform this song in Sydney Kings Cross, a flood of memories......I watch this and it transports me back to those times.......TALENT is TIMELESS
Excellent. This concert was broadcast on Australian TV and I had an audio cassette copy of it which I flogged. I think it was Icehouse as the support on the David Bowie world tour of 1983 or 84 around the time Sidewalk came out.
Mr. Camilleri still has the pink tenor. I saw it on MySpace. Anyway, the sax solo in this song is one of the best ever in the history of rock music. Thanks for posting!
From the Sidewalk album a awesome album which was not as popular as it should of been. Hearing Joe on sax gives me goosebumps, tell you the truth this song makes the hair on my neck stand up it is that dam good.
Haven't seen this in about 25 years. Would love to see this whole show again. I used to have it on VHS and a cassette from a 2MMM and Channel 10 simulcast. This was my favourite track in the show however- love Joe on the sax and I believe that's Guy Pratt on bass too.
Excellent- could have been the Palais in Melb? as I'm sure that was my whistle at the start. Isn't Joe awesome on sax. Good to see John Lloyd on drums..perhaps one of the last times before Paul Wheeler joined.
hi i was wonderin if u can post them performing dusty pages which they perform at this concert , if ur bothered in the near future , would love to see it thanks
The drummer in this (Steve Jensen?) IMHO isn't a patch on Paul Wheeler. Paul puts so much more energy into this song (and every other). Still a good performance of one of Icehouse's best songs though! (search on yt for Don't Believe Anymore moshcam)
Mark Anderson--I know you asked about the drummer a year ago but I only just saw your question. John Lloyd is the drummer on the "Sidewalk" album and on this performance. Steve Jansen (formerly of Japan, JBK, and a plethora of artists including his brother, David Sylvian) has only performed on the album, "Measure for Measure" and never live with Icehouse. I hope that answers your question 😀
the greatest saxophone solo of all time
Beautiful fretless bass by Guy Pratt !

ah the good ol' days - having a durry indoors with a beer
This song means so much... 30 years old and still has the same effect...
40 now brother
Excellent 👍

It was a Festival in the Summer of 1984,Dortmund Westfalenhalle

He actually looks even sexier (if that's possible!) with the cigarette, as he takes a drag. It's also from the video.
I love the 80's . . .

Amazing!! Iva....
I recorded this on VHS around '84-85, I think from Channel 10,but I must have lost it.Bugga!
It's nice when I see Iva actually playing the guitar instead of using it as a prop :D

Good track, but Joe Camelleri is definitely the froth on the cappuccino here. Awesome'n'then some. :)
Live in Dortmund, Germany no?
