OMG thank you thank you THANK YOU!!! Have sat through hours of lectures, read the chapters over and over but this has explained these laws in just over 6 minutes. Thank you man! You are a LEGEND bruz! Thank you !
I definitely remember consistently reading lectures, books and searching to fully understand concepts like the ones in this video so, I understand what you probably went through in regards of sitting through lectures and chapters over and over to grasp these concepts. Thanks for watching Werebilby !
+Hussain AlMarkhi I completely understand your frustration with the teachers and material on this subject, sometimes I myself don't explain things well, but I am glad this video helped and thanks for watching ! -randerson112358
Firm hand shake to you kind sir, I swear I have read my 1.3 chapter in Discrete Structures book over and over again, and not until I watched this did it make sense.
daamn im having the same problem now lol, i can do the truth table its quite easy but this laws don't make any sense to me, this is the 2nd time im watching this video, hopefully this time it helps.
Thanks, this subject was a bit hard for me to understand as well at first, so im glad this video helped. Thanks for noticing my username, some people think it's just random numbers 😄
Hi Randerson, your videos have helped me alot! I am working on a homework question but I am stuck and seek your assistance. The question requires me to prove that (p-> ~q) v (P->R) is logically equivalent to (P&Q)->R. I'd appreciate your help thanks!
Mind if I ask what book you are using for prepositional logic? I am trying to find a good book to go through for proofs to really get a solid foundation.
@@randerson112358 actually your whole playlist is great. I've been struggling to keep up in my algorithm complexity class with working from home, kids and study. So I'm keen to go through your whole library today and hopefully catch up
He used the identity law to state that the AND True statement was self fulfilling and hence contributed nothing to the evaluation. So you can safely discard it and keep only ( p V q )
Like any equation you can start solving either side of the problem, I just chose the side I thought was easier, but I could've also started from the other side.
I might be wrong but I think you have missed the Distributive Laws: p'^'(q'v'r)(p'^'q)'v'(p'^'r). In your example: (q'v'p)'^'T(T'^'q)'v'(T'^'p) , you can then move to Identity Law.
Ah I understand, no need to do extra steps. Since we have our identity law: p ^ T = p Just substitute (q V p ) for p to get the (q V p ) ^T = (q V p). Thanks for watching, and I see you are understanding the material ! randerson112358

After 2 week of researching .. Now I can solve logical equivalence, ..
By the way you are better than my math teacher .. Thanks

Someone needs to get this guy a new set of dry-erase markers. Very well done sir.
Thank you, and I will take anyone up on that offer.
😂
Still probably gonna fail my test tommorow, but this was actually the first time it made sense. Props fam.
Thanks Frat !
Kenneth Rosen cant even explain it the way this guy did. Thank you, you are a buzzer beater 4 my exams. love from ph
Thank you so much!! You just teached me what I have tried to learn for the last 3 weeks in 5 minutes. The best video ever. I can't thank you enough
Thanks for the kind words and watching my video!
Excellent demonstration. You are a service to those seeking to understand this concept in a smooth manner. Gracias
Thank you !

TRUE HERO!! Thank you so muchhhhh your video is the only one that made me understand how laws of equivalence works! THANK YOU SO MUCH
Thanks for watching !
I'm completely lost as to how you know what laws to use and when to get the left side to become the right.
This is the first time, this made sense to me! Thanks a lot, buddy!
Thanks, this subject was a bit hard for me to understand as well at first, so im glad this video helped.
Thanks for noticing my username, some people think it's just random numbers 😄
THANK YU THANK YU,THE PART I WASN'T SURE OFF IN MY PROVE WAS THE IDENTITY LAW BUT NOW I UNDERSTAND CLEAR OF WHAT IS HAPPENING
This surprisingly helped me understand more on how to prove logical equivalence thanks a bunch!!!
Hi Randerson, your videos have helped me alot!
I am working on a homework question but I am stuck and seek your assistance.
The question requires me to prove that (p-> ~q) v (P->R) is logically equivalent to (P&Q)->R.
I'd appreciate your help thanks!
thanks man. was having problems understanding the laws. thank you so much. your explanation made it easier for me to understand
Thanks man, I am glad the video could help !
Thank you very much!!!! Currently taking CPSC 121 at UBC rn :D
Thanks for the comment!
yo man it's really easy to understand. I wanna watch more videos about dis math. can you make other videos about it?
Mind if I ask what book you are using for prepositional logic? I am trying to find a good book to go through for proofs to really get a solid foundation.
How do you know what law to use? or is any law possible to apply?
Really helpful links man, they really helped me out.
How do you know which law you should use?
This video helped a lot. Thank you so much for making this video. I appreciate it!
you method was amazing, seriously.
thank you sir your method of teachig is veryy oswem and very easy to understand
+noor pree thank you very much !
Please tell me you didn’t actually spell awesome ‘oswem’
This video just saved me! Thank you.
Sir can we use this pattern on every question? just wanna know to make it clear
Nailed it... Thanks for clearing up how this works. Thanks bud :)
Thanks for watching RamjetX !

Having as much trouble with this course as I did Calc 2 and Calc 3.
Crazy
That was a good video dude, helped me understand a little more.
I understood for the most part, got a bit lost at Identity Law, but great video nonetheless.
He used the identity law to state that the AND True statement was self fulfilling and hence contributed nothing to the evaluation. So you can safely discard it and keep only ( p V q )
Thank you for this! You're example is really good and not that easy! ☺️ Which is what I wanted! Good to know how to solve something difficult XD
OMG, Thank you so much. This makes so much sense now!
Thanks for watching Rain !
Could you please solve this? [(AVB)Ʌ(AVB’)]V(BɅB’)↔A
Interesting looking problem, I may do a video on it one day
Thank you for this. I found this helpful!
How do you know which side of the equation to start on? is it always the left?
Like any equation you can start solving either side of the problem, I just chose the side I thought was easier, but I could've also started from the other side.
This is a life saver! Thank you so much!
Thanks Daniela, I hope my videos are!
Will you please reply of these queries ..
1) how you know that when to use So and so Law on So and So step ?
Ibn Faqr You should think of the laws that will make the L.H.S becomes like the R.H.S .
a lot of practice is needed.
thank you so much you did a great job in clearing this out!! im so thankful
Nice job!! This helped me a lot
Thank you. Great Video!
I was confusing, but this video was very clear and understandable. thank you very much.
I am glad this video could help you!
it was associative law not commutative law?
Thanks! Found this tutorial helpful.
Thanks for watching, I'm glad this video was helpful.
I don’t understand identity laws plss Help!!
Thanks a lot but I feel like you missed a step/law between negation law and identity law, the Distributive laws.
Chumani Mgengo nope I did not forget any step/law.
what step/law do you think I missed. I don't see any mistakes.
I might be wrong but I think you have missed the Distributive Laws: p'^'(q'v'r)(p'^'q)'v'(p'^'r). In your example: (q'v'p)'^'T(T'^'q)'v'(T'^'p) , you can then move to Identity Law.

Just substitute (q V p ) for p to get the (q V p ) ^T = (q V p).
Thanks for watching, and I see you are understanding the material !
