Hi, I liked the video but the code needs updating. When I followed your tutorial and typed (a) in the serial Monitor I got 97 and 10 and when typed (b) in the serial Monitor 98 and 10 typed a in the serial Monitor and when typed (c) in the serial Monitor 99 and 10 typed a in the serial Monitor. I also used you code and got the same result. Please fix good tutorial. I am using Arduino IDE 2.0.3
Hi, I did not understand what is the issues to be fixed? I've shown the principle and it should be correct. Some time I might say one thing and do something else like press K but I press G and the viewer will notice is that that i an error. so you did not learn at all or are you trying to pint my mistake?
@@robojax Hi thanks for your reply. As I said above when I use your code, just to make sure I got the same result, when I type in the serial Monitor (a) I get the first number 97 and below it also appears 10 at the same time. I think it is showing the DEC power as well as outlined in tutorial Lesson 4. Note I am using Windows 11, Arduino IDE 2.0.3 and key board is English (Australia) US. The tutorial is still good but is there a way to stop it displaying the DEC power (10).🙂
@@justlearning8475 Hi. Not sure if you will receive this. I too got the same result as you when entering (a) and the result was 97 and 10. All results I received had a 10 as the second number. What I found to resolve the issue was to select "no line ending" from the drop down to the right of where you enter data. Thanks.
