    Just on the 52 min mark when Mark talks about growers trying to induce water shoots. I wonder if the growers meant that by deliberately wounding the vine they were aiming for suckers to shoot, not so much within the area of injury but more so because the damage would cause hormones and chemicals to flow and trigger a response to damage by the plant. Similar to like bush fires and hard pruning on some plants. So the graph that shows the low result of shoot from the damage area vs the rest of the plant could just mean damage at the side triggered a chemical reaction lower on the vine to through shoots?

    So, what imaging tech is available to determine the best pruning to apply to young vines? Best to not start a problem.
