Great video! Thank you for taking the time to share. This was my first time to complete this job on my c4500 and you helped me be successful. The tip on heating up the hub was invaluable. Everything on this truck is heavy and tight.
Good job bro, I likes how you showed the part numbers also. I was a little fuzzy on what you meant by you used a screwdriver on nut on the spindle.. You said some people make sockets to remove them however you used a screwdriver.. I was not sure if you meant you use the screwdriver to bend some type of tabs in or if you used it to loosen the nut by hitting it sideways on the nut. Kudos and good job.
Use a chisel to spin the nut off, by lightly tapping the side of nut in a counterclockwise direction. Works great without damaging the nut. You need to use care and a little finesse to avoid damage.
I am going to have to do mine soon???? But I would put some Kopper Kote on the Torx bolts to reduce there rusting. Do reduce the torquing as it Does reduce the friction.
I have same truck but mine 4x4 and hub different my hub one peace 4x4 are one peace I can’t find axle nut tool scocket tool for my truck 5500 4x4 different
great video really explained how to do

What size scocket to remove rotor on 4x4 model I have the same truck can’t find a scocket to remove the axle nut
Well done thx
Super video!!! What kind of jack did you use to lift that truck?
A 3 ton hydraulic jack
Rotor bolts are actually t70 and they have thread locker on them.
I got a basket case. The nut is in two pieces. Do install nut first then the spring side ? Or does it go in as one piece ?
The way you show the nut on spindle is the smooth side away from bearing. I'm just confused and cannot find anything on web. Please help
The serrated side of nut goes on towards bearing. The smooth side goes out, after the rotor and bearing is on.

How did you get the hub nut cover off??
I think I know what you're asking... And if it is, I use a small sharp chisel in a hammer and gently coerced it off.
Which size rotors ?
The 4x4 are way different hub one peace larger axle nut
Show me how to take the hub and rotor off
Try find parts for 4x4
