Also when you're a streamer it's more than just a gamer tag, it's the name of your channel/content/brand and when you're working out deals and sponsorships etc with people from "normal" industries it must have been awkward to explain every time
he and tina have talked about it and it was basically to have a more professional sounding brand, and the fact that brown is a hard colour to pitch to people. he wanted to change it for a while now just due to feeling like he outgrew it. tina also mentioned that as soon as he changed his name ray suddenly got a bunch of sponsored content offers from companies/games
