Am I the only one to have liked season 4? The 1st ep had some great scenes in it, I loved how the used the Sherlock being a drug addict again, that was great,lots of emotion! And the finale was just grande!! Lots of clearing up, Redbeard, Moriarty, Euros..., and the last scene was just awesome, the one withMary talking, Sherlock and Euros reunited and John and Sherlock and Rosie being a family!! If you didn't like that season I would really like to know. True, not everything was great, a bit cheesy and cliche by times, and the last episode maybe trying to be a bit too "clever" but apart from that I absolutely loved it!!

Sorry this is so long, but here are some examples in case you're still curious: John saying his feet are chained to the bottom of the well but he can climb out once they throw a rope in; Sherlock's lack of response to John dying and John's lack of response to Sherlock threatening to kill himself (again); zero injuries from jumping out of 221B's windows during the explosion; Sherlock and John not even recognizing what was obviously a grenade on top of the drone; Sherlock ignoring "vatican cameos;" Mycroft saying he doesn't want blood on his hands when he's both been the cause of many deaths and tried to kill the clown at the beginning of the episode; and there was an article that also said: "It was an episode that resisted attempts to make sense of it. Why did Eurus disguise herself and offer Sherlock clues to a case he was investigating, not to mention disguise herself and try to seduce John Watson? If she managed to escape Sherrinford, the maximum-security island fort where she’d been imprisoned for most of her life, why go back to her cell? Why would she compel Moriarty five years ago to record thousands of convenient gifs and soundbites for a larger plan to get revenge on her brothers but then do nothing when Moriarty forced Sherlock to commit suicide in “The Reichenbach Fall”? Rather than illuminate the complex fabric of the show, as good series finales do, “The Final Problem” poked holes in it, pulling any threads of narrative consistency apart." (There was also in the first episode Mary dying with a "great big spurt of blood" and also went "flying backwards" and the lack of explanation concerning the "13th" on Mycroft's fridge and the letter John had Molly give to Sherlock.)
There's a bunch of good points in this that I agree with as well, but also a few that aren't plot holes. Sherlock ignored "Vatican cameos" because he was caught up (emotionally, also intellectually trying to fathom the person/situation) with Eurus, he's always been notably more uncooperative the more he gets sucked in to a bad guy's orbit, and this was a pull that potentially surpassed even Moriarty because of the circumstances; Mycroft's reaction made sense because although he has blood on his hands in a larger sense it's perfectly and probably likely that he's never personally murdered someone, and there is a difference, he's more of a slightly wimpy sit behind a desk and make detached decisions kinda guy; I'd say that a bunch of the Eurus things are explained by her generally being nuts and also curious, wanting to both see her brother & John for herself as well as fuck with their shit because why not; also it's proven that Eurus has control over Sherrinford so she's not actually imprisoned, as such. All the other points are good and I thought they fractured the episode somewhat as well. Also was a bit disappointed after the end of S2/TAB -- I am slightly biased because he is my favorite character, but I found Moriarty's inclusion to the Eurus storyline (despite their awesomeness and hilarity just because yay Moriarty) a little lackluster story-wise, and not entirely making sense.
I can’t be the only one who actually loves Mycroft? I have just as much sympathy for him as for John and Sherlock, he just tries his best and he’s kind of hilarious at the same time 😂

Sorry this is so long, but here are some examples in case you're still curious: John saying his feet are chained to the bottom of the well but he can climb out once they throw a rope in; Sherlock's lack of response to John dying and John's lack of response to Sherlock threatening to kill himself (again); zero injuries from jumping out of 221B's windows during the explosion; Sherlock and John not even recognizing what was obviously a grenade on top of the drone; Sherlock ignoring "vatican cameos;" Mycroft saying he doesn't want blood on his hands when he's both been the cause of many deaths and tried to kill the clown at the beginning of the episode; and there was an article that also said: "It was an episode that resisted attempts to make sense of it. Why did Eurus disguise herself and offer Sherlock clues to a case he was investigating, not to mention disguise herself and try to seduce John Watson? If she managed to escape Sherrinford, the maximum-security island fort where she’d been imprisoned for most of her life, why go back to her cell? Why would she compel Moriarty five years ago to record thousands of convenient gifs and soundbites for a larger plan to get revenge on her brothers but then do nothing when Moriarty forced Sherlock to commit suicide in “The Reichenbach Fall”? Rather than illuminate the complex fabric of the show, as good series finales do, “The Final Problem” poked holes in it, pulling any threads of narrative consistency apart." (There was also in the first episode Mary dying with a "great big spurt of blood" and also went "flying backwards" and the lack of explanation concerning the "13th" on Mycroft's fridge and the letter John had Molly give to Sherlock.)
Beck OK. I did not see it that way. But show a little mercy, you can't think of EVERYTHING when making a script.
There's a bunch of good points in this that I agree with as well, but also a few that aren't plot holes. Sherlock ignored "Vatican cameos" because he was caught up (emotionally, also intellectually trying to fathom the person/situation) with Eurus, he's always been notably more uncooperative the more he gets sucked in to a bad guy's orbit, and this was a pull that potentially surpassed even Moriarty because of the circumstances; Mycroft's reaction made sense because although he has blood on his hands in a larger sense it's perfectly and probably likely that he's never personally murdered someone, and there is a difference, he's more of a slightly wimpy sit behind a desk and make detached decisions kinda guy; I'd say that a bunch of the Eurus things are explained by her generally being nuts and also curious, wanting to both see her brother & John for herself as well as fuck with their shit because why not; also it's proven that Eurus has control over Sherrinford so she's not actually imprisoned, as such.
All the other points are good and I thought they fractured the episode somewhat as well. Also was a bit disappointed after the end of S2/TAB -- I am slightly biased because he is my favorite character, but I found Moriarty's inclusion to the Eurus storyline (despite their awesomeness and hilarity just because yay Moriarty) a little lackluster story-wise, and not entirely making sense.
