When I listen throuh clips of this and the cast recording of who lives who dies. When Eliza states the "I raise funds in dc for the washington monument" and other things that she had accomplished. I always felt that I had to clap, I always felt that it was really Eliza and not an Actor. Philippa doesn't act. She feels and she becomes the Character.
This is the truth. Sometimes in theatre I see people act as if their mad or sad but they don’t actually seem mad or sad. They’re acting like the character but they don’t really become the character. Idk if that makes sense but yeah I completely agree. Philipa portrays Eliza so well.

He meets her for the first time and he takes her hand, to show her the impact she made on the world. He was her forward and the gasp is her seeing the audience and seeing the true impact she made.
