I am so proud of you for sharing this, sis. Watching Grandma’s house being revitalized and filled with another generation of laughter and memories has been one of the biggest comforts for me since her passing. Though I too wish she could have seen it, I’ve imagined her reaction so many times that it feels completely real to me. I can see her face lighting up and saying, “It’s ‘perfec’! You did GOOD!” Your hard work isn’t just a tribute to our grandparents; you are sustaining the qualities which made that house a home - patience, faith, fun, food, and lots of love. Thanks for everything you’ve done. It means a lot to everyone who loved Grandpa and Grandma. Love you!
I am still wiping tears😢. Aunt T and Uncle B would be SO happy and proud that you've renovated their home and made it yours. They loved you girls SO much and were always SO proud of you three. I love your sentiment of how there's room for joy and grief during this time of year. Sometimes we forget that during this joyous season that there are people grieving great loss. Love you❤
As a Grandma of 14, I would be so happy that one of my grandchildren refurbished my home into the delightful home you and your husband have done. Also, I must say the first few moments at the light show gave me great joy seeing your son dance with joy as you arrived to the wonder of lights. Hugs to you from a grandma.
I've been waiting for the story of your lovely home! And it was just so sweet. ❤ Your grandma taught you well on hospitality and she would love that you're embracing that.
Thank you for sharing this with us, your grandmother is a beautiful woman, you have the grace she had you can just see it in your mannerisms. My grandmother was my best friend she has been gone 5 years now and I miss her so very much....grief is very hard and this year it is hitting harder.
Grief is the last gift we have to offer the ones we love. The greater the love the deeper the grief. Thank you for sharing this part of your life with us.
Such a beautiful tribute to your grandparents and a lovely way to keep their memory alive. We're so blessed having the love from good and godly oriole in our lives and the comfort of knowing we'll see them again in heaven, but there are times that the loss of them takes your breath. Praying for you and your family this season.
Thank you for sharing this sweet story! That was so wonderful to hear about your memories of your grandparents. I lost both grandmothers a year apart from each other and it was the hardest thing I have ever been through. They were such amazing women and I miss them a ton! I love that you are living in in your grandparents home and I know they would be so happy and proud! You should retake that picture of your grandma in her kitchen with you standing in your kitchen now 🥰
This is such a special thing for you to share ❤ We have four kids and two grands. I would be over the moon if one of them honored us by living in our home after we pass. I imagine your Grandparents are so happy that you're raising a family there.
I never had a relationship with any of my grandparents growing up. They all lived in a different state. I love your story and I have no doubt that your grandma is smiling down from heaven!! Raising your children in a home already filled with so much love…..how special!! 🙏🏼🎄🥰☃️❤
Such a beautiful memorial of your grandparents, what a blessing to have know them so intimately. I never knew my grandparents, and feel so grateful that my kids know theirs. You are doing a wonderful thing stewarding her/your home and filling it with life 💛

Hugs and prayers for you. I am much older than you and a grandma.I can tell you I would be thrilled beyond measure that my granddaughter was living on in my home after I went on to be on the Lord.
❤ Your story you shared was so precious your grandmother is very proud of you and all the work you have done. My Nannie has been gone 18 year i still miss her so bad it hurts. I have her china cabinet and when i open the bottom doors it still smells like her house. It makes me cry every time. Also my dad passed away in February so this is my first Christmas without him. Sometimes i feel lime i can't do it im trying to be strong for boy's. We all miss him so very much . Grief is different for everyone but in time you do find a new normal your life will never be the same. Im praying for you my friend ❤
Thank you for sharing your story about your Grandparents and your little house. Yes, grief hits you when you least expect it, but we must carry on for our families and for ourselves and make the best of the life that we have. I loved seeing all the Christmas lights. That’s so special and looked like such fun. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Just out of curiosity, were you a nurse before?
It’s been five years since both of my parents graduated to heaven and 9 years since my husband’s parents passed. It’s taken that long to finally not dread the holidays.
Sweet reminiscing of your grandparents. I bet they look down and smile frequently with joy what you are accomplishing with the redo of their home.
