Try adding petroleum jelly to the parts that you don’t want to get stuck with glue or resin , very useful when you are doing tangs or handles and you want a tight fit
I really enjoyed this. You may want to do some more mold prep, such as Packaging tape on the cardboard to prevent it from coming part and being stuck to the project you are making.

Just peel the layers apart and you can use that, if you can't afford the cost of fancy craft materials like that.
