    Love your set up man, thanks for the video explaining everything. Would definitely like to hear more about the wiring and the thru hull DIY

    Just came across your account. And I know this video is 3 years old, but I LIKE this set up, brooOoO (with the lights)! I just ordered my own SS127. Can't wait to set it up. Appreciate you making this video and sharing your ideas!

      Also, being that it's been 3 years, have you discovered a better way to rig the Xi3 release latch (than to make a hole in the hull)? I just just see water getting in through that hole when you take on choppy waters...

    I have been looking for my first fishing kayak. The Bonafide SS127 is at the top of my list. After 30 years of owning larger boats an bass type boats, no longer have an on water craft. Your video and kayak upgrades have inspired me of what is possible. I really like what you have done here!
    Thank you.

    Great rig buddy. I'm in the DFW area and have been researching getting a yak for fishing. Pretty much narrowed it down to the SS127 and then stumbled across your video. Great set up, and great ideas. Love everything you've done. Can't wait to get mine now.

    Amazing setup!! Love all the additions, can tell a LOT of pre-planning and effort was put in to this... only thing I would say is talk to your camera operator. I was literally screaming "pan down" or "pan over" about a million different times lol. All good though, great vid, ty.

    I just got one 60% today and I already had a Topwater PDL but it paddles like a cadillac and the Bonafide is smooth and has so many options available. I'm looking to do a setup like this minus some of the lights. You did a great job on this thing.

    Thank you, very informative (ie; electrical set-up). She's beautiful. I'm just starting my motor/elec mod on mine. Have been paddling for 2 seasons, thinking/researching/doing my homework as to my options. And you, Sir, have contributed, Thank you for sharing. As to your GoPro mounts, you mentioned that you weren't happy? Yak Attack has some that may please you. And as to others saying "Too much, overloaded, bla bla bla". I say (1st) "Texas Rigged" (enough said), and (2nd) "Go big or go golfing (Oops? Did I say that out load? My bad, I meant "Go Big or Go Home).

    • @The_Texas_Rigged_Life
      @The_Texas_Rigged_Life  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To be honest I don’t feel like they help when I’m moving using the motor. The only thing that I feel it does help is when I’m on spot lock and the current is strong. I feel they help stabilize the kayak just a bit more.

    • @The_Texas_Rigged_Life
      @The_Texas_Rigged_Life  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just attached it to the bottom of the dry pod. I had to make an l bracket to that my transducer could mount to it. The way Lowrance design their bracket made it to where I had to make one. The screen is mounted to the top of the dry pod.

    • @olddognewtrix
      @olddognewtrix ปีที่แล้ว

      @@The_Texas_Rigged_Life I saw Flukemaster say you needed to extend it down 2-2 1/8 from the bottom of the drypod for it to work properly. Have you had any issues, or does your bracket lower it as well.

    • @The_Texas_Rigged_Life
      @The_Texas_Rigged_Life  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@olddognewtrix I made an aluminum bracket. It’s just a strip of aluminum bent into a u shape. It puts the sonar about 2 inches lower to cleat the kayak. If you don’t lower the Lowrance sonar it will pick up the bottom of the kayak
