- This will probably be a huge disappointment to some of you, for obvious reasons. I'm extremely sorry for uploading this, but i thought you deserve to see it either way. This was remade 3 times during 2019, I've started, hated it and deleted it numerous times. The reason being that It never came out just the way i wanted it and I know, I know, i can just finish it. But trust me if i could, i would. I'm super emotional whilst doing it and I just cannot take it anymore, so I've decided to drop it.
3:10 without a doubt the best transition I've ever seen
For real, some of the cleaniest shit I've seen and "professionals" can't even replicate it
How to make that effect?
@@WildanAX masking transition. Not hard to do BUT very...very unique
@@CrazyDoug17 could also use a depthmap and make it way easier than manual masking
that was so fucking smooth
Can’t put into words how frustrated I was when the video stopped, this is probably the best v edit I’ve ever seen, each scene felt so alive, this is so insane
Sad how it will never be finished
Hi, I come from the NaturalVision Evolved video and just checked out this other one.
Maybe you haven't realized it yet but what you do here is not only amazing in case of presenting GTA. A lot of people will see, that you have an eye (and ear) for stunning transitions, camera-angles, movements, views and effects. These are not just some trailers to show a mod or a game. In my minor opinion this is art.
I can only recommend you to let GTA V go a little bit in the background doing trailers for some other games as well to generate a showreel and make yourself a name in the trailer industry. If you won't get hired for this, then something is wrong in this world.
Update: And just right now I watched 'Anna' for the first time. ... And I'm speechless.
If money and/or career paths is ever rough. There a lot of people here willing to see gems like these for shit all money a month. I will fucking pay your rent if I have to.
the scenes you create in gta feel so real and alive, amazing work as always
bro the ending just hit, holy shit, that was the best thing ive ever seen
When I subbed you 7 to 8 years ago, I would have never imagined to see something as beautiful and emotional as this. A little click of button I made led me to this moment, and these feelings. This is ART and you Sir, are capable of doing anything you set your mind to. I can't be disappointed it's unfinished. Thanks for giving us this much.
Sincerely, pheil.
your work is absolutely stellar dude
the second the ending sequence hit my jaw dropped harder than my grades wtf you are amazing
so much attention to details and synchronization.. i love the audiovisual journeys like this, and just like in your previous videos you completely nailed both the audio and visual parts. i'm always trying to connect all the scenes together, figure out the plot in the project and admittedly, it's usually too difficult for me, but i dont mind it and just enjoy the piece. maybe i'm over-expecting a bit and it's just a bunch of scenes beautifully put together in an accompaniment of finely tuned music and audio effects. either way, love your work. the final transition with the unfolding music as the guy was supposedly falling down the skyscraper felt unreal. i could only wish this video would keep going. your videos never cease to amaze me, so thank you for uploading even this unfinished bit.
sometimes if you just keep putting the stake higher and higher you can end up in an endless loop of not being satisfied enough. obviously it has its pros and cons, the pros being you always release a masterpiece and the cons, even if they are simply fantastic for most of the people, you still may wanna dismiss it because it doesn't meet your (high) expectations. it reminds me of how artists have to decide which songs to put on their new albums.. 6-15 songs out of hundreds of demos and thousands of hours of work put into them, each of them probably more than good enough to satisfy most of the fans, each of them never going to be heard by any of the fans.
keep doing what you're doing. thanks
I'm so proud of you for uploading this unfinished. As I can understand by reading the description, you needed to move on. You were stuck on something we cannot understand, at a level of editing we've never been before.
You could have ended the video with a fade out transition, and no one would have noticed anything. But you're a true artist, and you don't want to show a finished product that isn't finished in your heart. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I can't wait to see what you're going to create in the future. Greetings from Switzerland ! 💖
you are insanely talented. this is stunning.
I love you man, your work is fantastic! I hope the best for you.
just breath-taking dude. Totally get the frustrations with an seeminly impossible project to finish, but holy christ this is good. You've clearly just got the just raw talent. I agree with Clicky below, @3:10 is a god tier transition
Absolutely brilliant work, props dude!
Man, came here because of your NatualVision Evolved trailer, but your work is phenomenal. I totally understand when things aren't going the way you like, but what you're doing is still tremendous and by far some of the best cinematic footage I've seen using any video game. Can't wait to see more.
brought masking to a new level, this is clearly art wow
3:10 Amazing transition. You, sir, are an editing god.
Subtitles in the beginning :
"You know that story of the Russian cosmonaut ? So he goes up in this big spaceship, and he's got this portal window, and he's looking out of it, and he sees the curvature of the Earth for the first time. And all of a sudden this strange ticking... Begins coming out of the dashboard. But he can't find it. He can't stop it. It keeps going. Few hours into this, begins to feel like torture. What's he gonna do ? He's up in space... So the cosmonaut decides... the only way to save his sanity... is to fall in love with this sound."
Taken from the movie Another Earth (2011).
Sorry, but I'm gonna watch this unfinished masterpiece a number of times in my life, so I figured I'd write the "lyrics" at least for myself 😂
I was wondering where they came from; they were so familiar. Definitely gonna watch Another Earth again. Brit Marling knocks it out of the park in all of her films, but I also really want to recommend “Sound of my Voice” and “The East” especially, but also “I, Origins” and the Netflix show “The OA”. All of them are mind bending, reality twisting tales that you ABSOLUTELY SHOULD NOT WATCH PREVIEWS FOR. Just trust an internet stranger for once and check them out.
Wtf the last transition is just insane dude
You know something is good when it gives you goosebumps
I hope you get the attention you deserve, this is one of the best edits I've ever seen. It's hard to believe this is even a game
You are a genius that 3:10 edit is something else. This video deserves so much more attention.
This video is amazing, the transitions, the cut's and either the camera work make this 10/10
3:10 yoooo dude! Thats insane
Such a stunning work of art
Truly one of the best maybe THE best editings I've ever seen...
You do some amazing work, there is no doubt about it!
And the work both you and RazeD did for NVE literally will bring more life back to GTAV.
Just hope to see its FiveM support improve, which im sure overtime will!
Although this cinematic had not seen its completion , I still find my self driven by its emotion evoking way of being captured. Truly is a masterpiece that will never age. You truly are the best in this ball game.
My daily motivation to strive in the world of GTA 5 editing. Trying my best day in and out to get 1% of what you are even though this realm won’t be around for much longer.
Simply amazing! Great editing, smooth transitions, and the music. I really am speechless. Keep up the good work!
Brazil here !
man, i love the way you do your work. I've got a channel of cinematics videos too, but your work, its AMAZING. LOVE U
Bro, this is seriously the best gtav cinematic i have ever seen so far..i can't understand why you felt disappointed..all those transitions,cuts..when i saw them for the first time i was cussing out loud because i couldn't hold how beautiful this looks!..This is pure class. You are damn skilled. Looking forward to more of such videos in the future from your channel.
I watched the NaturalVision Evolved and now this video, holy shit dude your work is awesome and never stop creating these masterpieces.
this is absolutely incredible. this is one of the best videos ive ever seen PERIOD. the forza theme fit perfectly
The song creators are called odesza thus fit so well for forza abd seems too for gta
Let me tell as a video editor, YOU ARE GOD; You BLOWED my MIND, Your creativity is GOLD! Chapeau!!!
I'm needing your masterclass.
Just came across your NVR trailer video, and got hooked to your channel. I'm speechless dude. Being a graphic/motion designer I know how tough this kind of editing is. You are INSANELY talented and creative. I got goosebumps throughout your videos, specially Anna. Keep doing what you are doing and I hope more people come across your content!
It's really great man. The shot with the guy under the streetlight was amazing, reminded me of Breaking Bad (Jesse waiting for the van). An the ending was just incredible (the music, the falling shot). You are a true master of handheld filmmaking in GTA V. Would love to see you make something in RDR2. Don't worry about this project not being finished, I've lost many GTA V short films when my HDD broke. Btw, you are a very skilled editor/motion designer.
you're feeling guilty and a little disappointment over this project, on the other hand as a viewer it was such a mind-boggling journey and a gate into a charismatic mind doing wonderful stuff on a computer, well-done my friend.
you are on another level !!!
Just stumbled across your work, absolutely incredible, keep it up man
Your work keeps stunning us, do whatever you feel is right, because that is what makes your videos so insanely good.
Unbelievably underrated for its quality. Fantastic job my guy.
OMG...i´ve never seen anything similar to this awesome insane masterpiece. This is gorgeous. I hope you will find the strength to finish it! I have spoken!
It's just beyond magnificent that your level of production of making GTA5 into something of a real life action movie. I was in awe. It doesn't look like a game at all! Can't wait for the finish project :)
Incredibly beautiful. That audio transition of that song is just magical and suits this whole emotional train just perfectly. Keep it up your breathtaking work.
hands down the best video game edit ever. Straight goosebumps, i enjoyed every single second, thank you. Amazing work
Wow, I don't remember the last time I've been this impressed with game cinematography - makes me want to return to it again
damn that last shot on some nut shit
This is a masterpiece in progress. The scenes that you have created with a videogame (and that you hopefully will keep on creating) absolutely do justice to A Moment Apart. Goosebumps all around, fantastic job.
A cinematic masterpiece
Came across this after the NaturalVision video and daaaamn.... Im glad I did. Subscribed.
I do videographery and editing for a career and yet I watch this and am completely blown away by the amount of inspiration I get from it. This is incredible work, your transitions are flawless and seriously beautiful
You're very talented, ice. I just stumbled upon your work today and you must realise your talent. I see you becoming a cinematographer in the long run and I wish you the very best!
Great to see that talented film makers don't need basically any money to make great stuff
dude this is the best thing that i've ever seen, every video that you have uploaded has been phenomenal, keep the good work, love from indonesia
Literally can’t wait to see more of your work when then next instalment in the series comes out !
Hope you're not feeling burned out and will keep doing personal projects like this one. Thanks for this piece, been coming back to it many times.
Well, yes I'm disappointed. By not seeing it when you published it!
It's a very cool vibe and feeling, also the use of the song (which comes from another game we know), gave me a really different and awesome feel over the first time I've heard it.
Thank you once again for this amazing project and experience!
This deserve finishing so much...never saw something like this on a video game...
this was looking so good too, that ending sequence was also really good and made me wish there was going to be more
Hi! I just want you to know that this video changed my entire perspective on video editing/etc. I literally cannot even describe how this video makes me feel. I completely understand if you don't want to continue a project, because I've been there, but please keep creating in general. I look up to your editing style SO much. You are beyond talented and a gift to countless people.
Revisiting this comment because I love this video -- hope you are doing well!
Wtf, I just found you and wtf. You’re the most talented underrated youtuber/creator I’ve ever seen
Great editing! An unbelievable amount of work was put into this
Im that guy too who is really emotional during something that is hard to overcome. But still thanks a lot for at least dropping this so we can see what awesome work you still have done.
Wow
This video is one of the best things I have ever seen, many times i thought it was a real footage
It gave me goosebumps
omfg that ending transition is INSANE
Dude u r sick !!!! At first I didn't believe it was created ....but when I saw ur other videos , I'm speechless now , so amazing skills , good work !❤️
Incredible work since Counter-Strike 1.6. I really hope you make a living outta this, it's just unreal.
Gotta hand to you man, I know I'm a great editor, but this is the type of work I look up to. And I normally don't like anyone's work when it comes to GTA films. Hats off to you dude!
Also, odesza. ❤️
nah really fucking insane dude, this is amazing
Mind blowing man, you know it's something special when you feel goosebumps watching it
Dude I seriously love your cinematics !! Keep up the good work! literally getting goosebumps watching it xD. IDK how you do this but Damn !! Your work deserves a lot of attention.
Thanks IceVip. You are a legend.
Holy shit dude, I don't think you realize how skillful, talented & passionate you are!
This was so beautiful - my heart broke when it stopped :>)yo
You've created something incredible here; the camera movements are REMARKABLE. Lighting superb, felt like I was watching something from SFM (and I mean that in the best way possible, think Harry101UK). I hope you feel better with whatever you're undergoing!
Everybody is (rightly) talking about that transition at the end, but I also wanna praise the rotation with the helicopter blades and bicycle tires... and also the wipe at 1:38 in front of the theater after the car passes in front, and the scene before it contrasting the paparazzi camera flashes with the police photographing a crime scene, and that excellent parkour. And is that the Ant-Man van with the device in the back, haha? Honestly the more I watch it, the more I just want to praise everything about it. Like everyone else, I think you should send a reel to Rockstar and try to get a job editing their trailers (but you could equally create non-GTA related stuff and have a prosperous Hollywood career doing this stuff too).
This has such clever and creative cinematography!! Inspirational stuff dude! Motivates me to do more
this is so SO good like WHAT? How are you this good? Wishing u the best luck!
unbelievable! sorry about your decision to scrap. I'm at-least glad i got to see it, and furthermore so glad to at-least see something from you, it's been so long.
Happy surprise stumbling onto your page, your ability to make the viewer feel emotion is incredible i had to keep reminding myself this was all done in GTA.
The only thing I hate about this IceVip, is that you didn't finish, all the rest is just insanely good. No words, great job mate!
Beautiful transitions bro... and the camera movement! NICE!
This is still going in my favorites playlist cuz this is impressive. I wish it was fully complete but this is already good enough for me :D
BRO I LOVE YOU PLEASE CONTINUE TO DO WHAT YOU DO
WOW!!! This is absolutely stunnig, trully an inspiration to new GTA V video editors. The storytelling, the coherence between the audio and video, the transitions, the effects, all impecable. Doesn`t matter if it's not finished. Some things are perfect just the way they are. You are one of the best GTA content maker. Keep it up, perhaps some day you could teach us some of your tricks in some tutorial.
qctually the best gta montage I ever seen
I don't ever comment on a video, but this one definitely deserves a "holy shit. That was amazing." I'm in awe, if you aren't already, you should be landing some serious, well-paid positions creating trailers, or editing anything for that matter. You have a talent for this. Keep it up!
icevip always quality stuff, legend
That last transition was so good
Mad respect bro, these clips are amazing
I just love ur editingg 😍😍😍..u should continue doing this video dudee..it is so awesomeeee
Wow!! That last part was insane and had me going, great work honestly some insane creativity here! Well done!!
Always remember you are your own worst critic. You have insane shot directing talent and this is a masterpiece. The ending is so unexpected it may actually make it better......
I've been saying it forever, what seperates a professional clip from an amateur clip is the sound design/sfx. You nail it everytime ice, glad to see you're still editing past-kz time.
I'd come back to this later.
Ever since I saw KZ edits from people like you and Ender95 I knew ya'll were destined to do amazing things. The whole scene was one of the best.
You would regret it if you didn't finish it. Come back with fresh eyes.
you can tell he’s put everything into this. This is absolutely beautiful
You are absolutely incredible at editing
You just Deserve MORE subs man, i love your work !!
The scenes are insane, amazing work! can't wait to see the whole thing
Thank you for introducing me to this banger of a song.
Just truly amazing I’ve watched so many times
Oh man, I know it might be hard and maybe even impossible, but I REALLY hope you would finish this project.
What I saw so far was INSANELY good, plus this song is probably one of my all-time favorites too, so it meshes so well.
Best of luck on all your endeavors, I really hope we will get to see the finished product one day!
no hablo ingles, pero completamente conseguido el objetivo... Sin duda transmite lo que busca zarpado video amiguero
